Fantastic playing man. I'm a full time theater drummer in Branson, MO. I've played w/ some pretty fantastic musicians and I WISH I had the musical interpretation that you do. Really, really exciting. What's your setup? I'm about to pick out a drumset for a studio I'll be working with and I want it to sound like the Modest Mouse album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. That's how I found this video, I'm trying to figure out what drums he played on that album. Yours sound great. So...?

Thank you very much, Daniel. Don't give me too much credit! I just make noise in my basement! I'm thrilled that you enjoy my style, though. Some people think it is overbearing but I just play what I feel. I play Yamaha Maple Customs (different from the Absolute series). I put all of the details in my profile. It is pretty much impossible outside of interviews to know what drummers played on albums. They use so many studio kits so you'd have to do some research.

Well in some songs he (the lead singer) can be harshly athiest, and others he sounds more agnostic. and in an interview he mentioned that the whole passion of the christ guy getting struck by lightning freaked him out. listen to doin' the cockroach and styrofoam boats/it's all nice on ice alright.

Yeah, I listened to those songs and I've honestly heard much worse. I'm not very easily offended (check out my creation-evolution videos to see why!). Their disbelief is unfounded and it sounds like they've had an encounter with Catholicism...which would explain a lot of their sentiments toward Christianity.
