My point is that we need to learn from history. EVERY nation that overregulates its populace dies a horrible death. There is no place in this world for a government that can tell me what I can see, do, think, and feel. The FCC is one of thousands of govt regulatory agencies that has no legal basis for existence and we should pay more attention to how we vote with our wallets.
There has NEVER been an instance of this from the private sector...NEVER. That graphic is a hypothetical and not from a real company. And if the company weren't "neutral" then it would be a scandal and enough people would cancel to put the carrier out of business. Governments are the ones that are responsible for abuses of power in this regard, so I'm not sure why you guys think the FCC needs more power. This is the thinking that brought you Soviet Russia, North Korea, and Nazi Germany, among o
@PacificCircle1 How about you learn how the internet works before you go to net neutrality. The problems it is suppose to be protecting us from has never happen before. We have protection better than the government. It is called the free market and competition.
Thank the non-existent gods, the House blocked the Federal Government from sending its slimy tentacles into the Internet, for now at least. Considering the FACT that everything the government touches turns into dreck, why would any freedom-loving person in his right mind give it ANY power over the Internet?
it is amazing how Americans believe what FCC etc will tell you, they tell 1/2 truths in professional businesses so they can slowly change what ever objective they want, they state their words to make it acceptable to the public, not wanting to "disturb" the trust, and not cause "undo concern" that would hamper their progressive internet controls. Lies are lies. Americans don't want to hear it but once they realize what they can not do, well, answers will come in acceptable speech again.
Keep in mind that the internet is very simple to replicate on a smaller scale. The only thing the government owns is the wires between us, and the satalites we connect to.
We might have to downgrade our software, or even resort to radio waves, but we will get the word across in the future.
Are you fucking stupid? The FCC is not going to be fucking with the content of the internet like on TV you tard, they are going to make sure that the ISPs don't fuck with the content and censor anything or play favorites based on corporate dealings/politics. Well, that's what they were supposed to do anyway...
I swear, I've seen so many dumb fucks like you lately who have no idea what Net-Neutrality even is, let alone what the FCC's involvement in this case is.
You obviously don't even understand the situation. Picture this, there is no more Net-Neutrality and ISPs can do whatever they want. Let's say you make a blog and your ISP doesn't like that sort of content so they block your site. Let's say that your ISP gets into a feud with Google so they then block You Tube.
See what I'm getting at? The FCC is supposed to try and stop bullshit like that from happening It is regulation of the ISPs, not the internet itself.
@Shadowlit001 "Let's say that your ISP gets into a feud with Google so they then block You Tube."
That's when I make the switch to a new ISP. No ISP would dare block Youtube because that would be business suicide. The internet stays neutral naturally because that's what's in the ISP's best interest. Net Neutrality is just letting the government get its foot in the door to regulate the internet.
I'm not the one who marked your comment as spam you moron. I believe in letting dumbass show the world how fucking stupid they are. But at the same time I don't really blame the person who did.
That's a funny joke since you never had a rational argument in the first place. And no, parroting right wing paranoia doesn't count as a rational argument.
The fact that you fail to realize that the government should keep private companies from abusing the general public and instead rally around corporate interest and naively think they will do the right ting then you're a fucking tard.
Also, you fail to understand the concept of Net Neutrality. You fucking cunt
Your comment proves my point. You have no argument so you keep throwing insults.
"The fact that you fail to realize that the government should keep private companies from abusing the general public"
I'm still waiting for you to give me one instance where an ISP has slowed down service or discriminated against people. Please, show us where this abuse of the general public has been happening.

FREE MARKET NEVER STOPPED SLAVERY.

Government is responsible for the propaganda in the 1st place. Especially the war stuff.
Without Government enforcement Slavery would have died out long long ago.
So go and blow it out your ass.

Propaganda is not limited to governments.

I don't mind some company paying to get faster speeds, but I do mind them making them slower if they don't pay.

The whole net neutrality debate is based on a hypothetical situation. There is no precedent for it.
