I am thinking about getting this phone in october so a few questions. 1-Well will it still be on the Sprint shelves in October or will they take them down? 2-Will it be replaced by a new instinct by October? If so I would love some info on that. 3- How are the free apps, web browser, and keyboard on this?

While the quality of the HD video is a little questionable and there is quite a bit of pixelation.

The sound quality of the video is better than that of the reviewers sound quality!!! At least it has a nice Mic.

I just called 1-800-sprint1 and ordered my HTC HERO! It will not be in all stores Oct 11th, you have to talk to Tele Sales Dept to guarantee your Hero on time. DO NOT BUY AN INSTINCT!

I work for Samsung Mobile. The sample HD recording in this video is not at all indicative of it's "true" recording quality. MobileBurn's compression, as well as YouTube's compression, have severely degraded it. Using YouTube to showcase this phone's output is...umm...a horrible idea. Best thing is to go to a Sprint store or Best Buy when it launches and see with your own eyes.

Not exactly a horrible idea, since people are very likely to upload videos to YouTube. Watching it on the phone to judge HD quality, however, might be a horrible idea since the display is far less than HD resolution. If you want to see it, output it to an HD television set. But I imaging far more will be uploading to YouTube than will be connecting to a TV, since a cable isn't even included....

True. The HDMI cable will not be included. Sprint stores may very well stock them at some point but that's not Samsung's call. We don't sell the phones, we just manufacture them. I just want to caution people on making judgments about the HD quality from the device.

i would say trade it in for the HD version!!! You pay alittle more but for a way better experience. Web, camera, hd capabilities, and accelerometer make it all the better oh and with flash on camera:)

Well, it has been processed by my video editing suite as well as YouTube. On top of that, I moved around too much. You see in the last few seconds that it can look sharp. The original video as it came out of the phone looks better.
