decent filming man. i actually thought the filming was going to be a lot worse than it was. film longlens! the whole montage was fisheye. its good though man. stick with filming, upgrade your cam when you get the money!
true. it was discontinued in 2001. its still the standard in skate videos though. you just have to get one thats in good condition and take care of it. definitely worth it yo. get better colours and picture quality with the vx1000 anyway.

go with a vx1000. gl1 = worst audio ever.
vx1000 is easier to set for someone whos just upgrading too.
you just gotta get used to using manual settings.

How difference in price is the vx2100 compared to the old vx1000?

vx2100 is like $2200 american which is around $2600 canadian and you can get a vx1000 for around $1000. sometimes cheaper, sometimes more expensive.
