I've never seen Molly Hatchet live old or new.I have bought some of their more recent albums and they're pretty damn good.They sound more like the original Molly Hatchet than the current Skynyrd sounds like the original Skynyrd, that's for sure.

I loved the original Hatchet lineup so much that it would almost be more dignified to call it a day at this point. I think Dave Hlubek is one hell of a talented guitarist and he has every right to earn a living on the Molly Hatchet name but I'm concerned about his health. He is severely overweight and he could be the next of the originals to go if he doesn't start taking care of himself. For my money, those Hatchet boys were the coolest cats in rock and roll back in the day.

Do you guys happen to fly to shows, sitting at the airport for up to 10 or more hours waiting to get out, then rush to the show and act like you're Elvis? I don't think so. I was AT this show and believe me, at 100+ degrees, it wasn't the best venue in town to play.  YOU do it instead of bitchin' about it!

Leather1971, you need to go back to the school of rock, the ONLY original member in this lineup is Dave Hlubek, Bobby was the guitarist for the DJB Band. Other than Dave, who I am still amazed by him being a part of this debacle, this version of Hatchet is a piss poor cover band. My 15 year old daughter has better vocals than Phil. Hatchet rules, but the band has passed. This is a shameful representation of a rich history. GATOR COUNTRY is where my money is.
