how do you install these lights without plugging them into the computer?

I wanna put them next to my subwoofer but my computer is kinda far from it soo how can I do this?

how did you run those little wires on the lights from the case to the monitor or did you use longer wires and sodered them

At the time of this video, I had a 72" Molex extension cable coming from the case to behind my monitors, but my current setup has a separate power supply powering the lights. My computer doesn't need to be on for my lights to be functional now. It's easy to do, no soldering involved. :P

I have a spare 250 W power supply running the lights now, with a paper clip grounding the motherboard clip so it stays on.

This was from back in December, but now it is:

Asus M2N-SLI Motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0 GHz Dual Core (UPGRADING SOON), 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM, 1.0+ TB HDD space, nVidia GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition 896 DDR3, OCZ GameXStream 700 W SLI-Ready PSU. No cooling system yet, but that's next.

Oh and also, the monitor on the right was a 17 inch Gateway, but since then has been replaced with another 22 inch Acer, so it looks much cooler now. :P

I thought so too, but you really don't notice after a while. It's subtle enough that it doesn't affect you much, and I usually keep my music loud enough that they're on constantly anyway. There's also a setting on the inverter to have them solid on, in case you do get sick of it. :P
