At the time of this video, I had a 72" Molex extension cable coming from the case to behind my monitors, but my current setup has a separate power supply powering the lights. My computer doesn't need to be on for my lights to be functional now. It's easy to do, no soldering involved. :P
Oh and also, the monitor on the right was a 17 inch Gateway, but since then has been replaced with another 22 inch Acer, so it looks much cooler now. :P
I thought so too, but you really don't notice after a while. It's subtle enough that it doesn't affect you much, and I usually keep my music loud enough that they're on constantly anyway. There's also a setting on the inverter to have them solid on, in case you do get sick of it. :P

I have a spare 250 W power supply running the lights now, with a paper clip grounding the motherboard clip so it stays on.
