the thing you found at :48 is part of an attachment to a sewing machine that makes button holes. They came in different sizes for the different sized holes you wanted to make. Good Luck on more hunts.
at 7:43 thatv is not off a fishing reel from my past that is the top of what weed smokers call a zepelin the flame goes thru the small hole the threaded part goes on the chamber that holds the weed
