  • this is badly mixed! if your listening on stereo headphones, the harmonies are louder than the lead vocal. and no, it doesnt mean they made it their own, its just poorly mixed, and the guitar is also too low in the mix.

  • Thumps up for actually listening to this soon at 3 am - only to feel better :) Good new year and i hope we'll see changes around the world in 2012. For the better i hope.

  • Again, the likebar has no red!

  • Beautiful rendition.

  • Sadly, the times did'nt change.... :(

  • @AntNo10003640 I think you may have missed the point of the song. It's not saying "The times are getting better." Just that they are changing, for better or worse, and that we can't know for sure what the future will bring, as anything could happen. "The slow one now may later be fast, and the President now will later be past." It also criticizes does who criticize change, as change is inevitable. "Your old road is rapidly aging, please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand."

  • @Senkiatzu I'm always amused whenever pop stars start thinking they can switch up old sayings, like making it "lend your hand" instead of the proper "lend a hand." It's pointless, confusing and never works. But I still love ya, Bob!

  • @AntNo10003640 They're always changing, just not always in ways we would hope for them to. The more systems of control there are the greater the pressure becomes to break them. Also the greater the number of people the less value we all tend to place on people, because of limited resources and there being few meaningful things one can do with one's life. Change isn't always easy to see until it's in full force.

  • I love these covers!

  • I like when they repeat the last line

  • this song has already been heard for a thousand years too many people have heard it for it to be forgoten SO MAGICAL

  • I dont know why but i love this version more than the dylan version :D

  • @Keviamaya That would be the Garfunkel effect...

  • @Keviamaya I know why I do. Simon and Garfunkel have better sounding voices. Dylan wrote some great stuff but his singing was not always his strong point. Although some of his songs would not mean as much if anyone other than he, had sung them.

  • I love S&G but this is like sing-a-long-a-Dylan.

Just going through the motions with no feeling for the song.

  • I. LOVE. THIS. HARMONY!

  • It's not a bad cover, but not the kind that surpasses the original. It's hard to imagine this song with any other style than dylan's.

  • As the present now

    Will later be past

    The order is

    Rapidly fadin'.

  • this is the one comment section with no arguments or stupid comments

  • Bob dylan is such a clever lyricist!! great song and smon and garfunkel put their own stamp on it

  • It brings a tear to my eye not only these lyrics, but the fact that people like all you guys are still interested in Bob Dylan And S&G. These artists are not appreciated enough, for they have set in stone what it means to have artistic talent and to put enough effort in so that they become as famous as they are now. When it comes to writing music, working hard, these guys are my gods.

  • @12bulkhead Haha im 18 and <3 the classics, music back then was about passion for the sound and the enjoyment you can get from it, nowadays its only about getting a number 1 single and lots of money, not to mention flaunting yourself on stage *cough Lady Gaga cough* (Sorry but i hate her in every way possible). Long live Dylan, Hendrix, Zappa, Marley, Cash, Beatles, Stones, M.Gaye, C.Mayfield, Rat Pack etc, the TRUE greats of musical poetry and instrumental mastery :D The music WILL live on.

  • i'm 16 but i love these songs

they will be listened to thousand years

  • Bob Dylan is hella smart, the man found out and knew about the new world order; i only know because i connected his words to his knowledge of Isis, in his song of that name, Isis.

  • Hehe. It's funny but their voices are too melodic for this song. It's not bad, it's just not Bob Dylan.

  • @themanyouwanttobe

You mean unlike Dylan...they can actually sing.

  • THIS IS MY FAVE VERSION OF THIS SONG!!!!!! :D

  • I dont think that the Senators nor the writers are listening.

  • "Senators and congressmen please heed the call don't stand in the doorway don't block up the hall for he who that gets hurt will be he who has stalled the battle outside ragin'"

I have always loved this song. Go Tea Party.

  • Simon & Garfunkel give the song a special feel that Bob Dylan or any other artist that recorded the song never gave. And I like it.

  • @SaturnTrack Dylan's Version is way better dude

  • @LittleBlackSparrow I never said that Dylan's version is bad. I love his version more than any of the others. It's just that Simon & Gafunkel's version feels differeent than any of the others in a good way.

  • @SaturnTrack I do too! They give it a sort of protestant energy, dont they?

  • i like this version better, i dont kno y.

  • bob dylan owned this one!

  • This cover is ok, but they're trying too hard to harmonise, they should just use the original tune.

  • This song is always awesome... I like all versions

  • this was an orgasm in my ears... i love both bob dylan and simon&garfunkel, i would usualy say the original song is beter but WOW this blew my mind

  • Bolet, I always associate this song with Dylan too. I've heard it by PP&M but had not heard S&G sing it before. Good harmony.

  • I'm a Bob Dylan fan and a Simon & Garfunkel fan and I love both versions.I love Dylan's version becuse it's the origional version. I love S&G's version because Art's harmony goes really well with Paul's melody which makes it unique.

  • thanks JudeOrEleanor!

  • Thanks so much for this version and the lyrics. Dylan is best, but I admire Simon&Garfunkel very much.

  • Nice version. Like their voices more.

  • I normally can't stand Dylan's voice but he's better for this song. Though S&G do wonders to it as well.

  • @Icarus19911991

I agree, his voice is HORRIBLE, but ironically, his songs hold TONS of incredible wisdom; that's why I listen to covers.

  • how is it that i cant find any actual bob dylan versions of his own songs on youtube?

Im not bashing this version, just would be nice to find the real one...

  • @penisface66 however unfortunately named you are ;), i agree.

pretty annoying that you find hundreds of covers of such a classic on youtube, but not the original itself...

  • @armuk I just found it. Not sure why all of you are having a problem.

  • @penisface66 The song by Dylan is there. I found it no sweat. Just type in Bob Dylan. It popped right up.

  • Nice, very nice but I prefer the Billy Joel live version myself

  • good but not as good as bob

  • i love simon and art and i think this is a very good rendition, unique they made it their own but ..........

bob dylan is just so ..undescribeable i love him (aswell art and simons originals )but his voice and his muic are the soundtrack to my childhood something i cant change and would never want to

  • i really like this version of the song :)

  • These are the songs that will be listened to a thousand years from now.

  • @VanGoghsEar1890 dude. i love that comment :D. so true I hope. While i listen to this song I imagine people standing on a planetary expansion watching over Earth and the human empire will be listening to this and smiling and saying how this was listened to on Earth a thousand years ago... Oh man

  • @Atheist269 Well thank you my friend. Very kind of you. One never knows, but this music does seem timeless. Cheers....

  • @VanGoghsEar1890 Hey no problem and thanks for your friend request :). accepted ofc

  • I prefer this song by Bob..but Simon and Art were unique

  • @bolet77 i agree

  • @bolet77 shouldn't that be Paul and Art?

  • Really, it's changing from the "one voice" version ^^

  • In my opinion, best cover of this epic song!

  • Agree with others....this is way to rushed. Slow it down boys...

  • It's a shame, whenever I listen to this on my headphones Garfunkel's harmony is much more prominant and really adds to it but through normal speakers it never seems to have the same impact. I think if the mix was altered slightly then the value of this cover would be appreciated.

  • Not a patch in Dylan... But still very good. Lacking passion though =[

  • sung too fast and without any passion or emotion. was it time for lunch break and so they had to get the song done and out of the way? normally I love S&G harmonies.

  • this version is not so good, it's not much different than the original except they hit the notes perfectly. they don't always have to be such choir boy singers

  • Paul Simon is doing a cool imitation of dylan's vocal style and phrasing

  • Haven't heard their version in years. Thank you.

  • Bloody ace! Better than the original.

  • I normally like Simon and Garfunkel, but this totally blows. No emotion at all!

  • They are just kind of going throught the numbers.

  • simon and garfunkel should't do dylan covers

  • its ok but lacks the feel and emotion of the origonal that makes it so amazing

  • Prefer this to the Bob Dylan original, but I prefer the Keb Mo cover to this one.

  • oh, simon and garfunkel...making bob dylan tolerable to me...

  • this is a great version. i love this song.

  • Random inflammatory comment!
