  • Ray Allen could dunk like that????

  • Minnesota coveting Steve Nash...wow, KG and Nash in their prime, that would've ended in at least one title.

  • haha ray's mom is everywhere! :D

  • he knocks down 3's....those 4 words summs up his entire career

  • Trading Marbury for Allen is one of the worst trades of all time

  • @samtheman7975 i dont think it was dat bad....marburys attitude got in the way thoe...

  • @samtheman7975 or what about the hornets trading kobe to the lakers for vlade divac.

  • @DrSanto91 Kobe wouldn't have played for the Hornets. He was trying to orchestrate a trade to LA. Hornets drafted him specifically for LA, as the deal for Divac was already in place the day before the draft. LA just told them to draft for them if their man (who turned out to be Kobe) was still on the board. Hornets said they never would have even considered drafting Bryant, so even though the record books say he was drafted by the Hornets, it was really the Lakers who chose him.

  • he was swaggin back in the day

  • Ray Allen with hair (heart attack)

  • Damn, if MIN didnt trade him, Ray and KG would've been champs, even without pierce

  • thats crazy, he was drafted to the T-wolves who already had KG, got traded for steph marbury...12 yrs later he plays with KG an wins a championship as a Celtic ....i wonder if Minnesota kicked them selves when that happened lol

  • "he has range ernie" in the end pretty much sums up his career.one of the greatest of all time!

  • thumbs up if you agree if the wolves never traded ray allen for marbury the wolves would have won mutliple championships RAY&KG cmon

  • @BsCeltics They did win a title, With the Celtics

  • @Maltrab26 i mean if they were in minnesota

  • @BsCeltics they wanted marbury because he and kg were best friends I'm pretty sure kg wouldn't have been too happy playing with ray allen knowing they passed up a marbury deal

  • @naz8618 they still probably would have won a ring in minnesota

  • @BsCeltics marbary was preetty good at the time but i agree

  • Damn...he went to the High school that was my middle school....One of the best of ALL TIME.

  • @YungCCeo you Live in South Carolina to YEAH!!!!!!!!!! i go to crestwood

  • just if he wasnt traded to bucks for marbury....he and garnett would be a powerhouse of the western conference!!

  • @cashprinter5000 still they became a powerhouse of boston. :)

  • 15 years later..... Player with the MOST 3-POINTERS MADE IN NBA!

  • "Can knock down some 3 pointers..." Well that´s a good one .... lol

  • the 1996 draft rocks ..

  • He had an amazing hairline, real sharp and nice....

  • @roy21g you do know he played with milwaukee, right?

  • With the 5th pick in the 1996 nba draft the minnesota timberwolves selct

    jesus shuttlesworth!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He was in a dunk contest rookie year o.O

    Things change

  • im a celtics true fan but outside if basketball if i was lbj or any nba super star you have a ego n your still a person.money changes everything

  • :( why wolves? WHY!

  • There was a time that underclassmen were the exception???

  • RAY RAY!!!!

  • oh my, he has hair!

  • @roy21g you mean minnesota timberwolves/milwaukee bucks

  • Commentators wondering why Minnesota picked Ray Ray having JR Rider and Doug West...it's funny to listen now...things changing

  • @ehilbruce they needed a PG at that time

  • @ehilbruce lol yeah those 2 dont even have names anymore.

  • Flo Allen's been there for him since day one. True basketball mom

  • Erik Dampier was an underrated pick of this draft. Underrated pick smh....

  • had AI been surrounded around a supporting cast as good as Kobes he would also of had 5+ championships.

  • @BabbarKhalsaZindabad yea we all cant be lakers cant we?? lol....

  • @CuddinPurple nah, he was in the 1995 draft picked 3rd overall

  • Wasnt Kevin Garnett In The Same Draft?

  • @CuddinPurple Garnett was the year before

  • dang 96 draft was full of great players

iverson, camby, allen, kobe, antoine walker, marbury, nash 0.0

  • wtf? david stern looks da same... dosent he age?!

  • @bigcritic69 he's rich he eats healthy food :D

  • 1:29 "knocked down some 3-pointers too"... ummm yes here can hit shots every now and then.

  • @laytodalow When he was young he was a great shooter but he didn't realize it and was more of a slasher. He didn't realize his potential on the perimeter until he made the nba.

  • then they trade him dumb for wack stephen marbury

  • JESUS SHUTTLESWORTH!!!!

  • Wonder if Reggie knew he would pass his all time 3pts shooting

  • Ray and kevin started out together in the same team then split and know are back together.

  • who knew he could take over Reggie Miller

  • damn, almost all the good players were drafted in '96, but the greates was in '84: Michael Jordan

  • @PsychoRenzoTV I would rather watch a Bunch of great players than the best one.

  • i remember being at the bradley center for draft day, and although i don't remember the trade for stephon marbury, i remember everyone being very happy we got ray allen! trading ray allen 7 years later is, to me, still the most baffling trade that the bucks ever made. i'm just glad he went to a top team in the celtics and got a ring. the bucks better retire his number one day!

  • I dont care wat any1 says

RAY ALLEN HAS DA BEST JUMPER N DA NBA end of story

  • Ray Allen is about to take Miller's record so when he does Ray Allen is the best shooter

  • @chalmer2wade how is ray allen better?

  • @roy21g reggie millier is the greatest shooter

  • @zelem92 nope, Ray Allen is

  • he looks fake happy to go to the timberwolves lol

  • With the 5th pick in the 1996 nba draft the minnesota timberwolves/seattlesonics select:the greatest shooter of all the time

  • @roy21g It was Milwaukee who took him at start not Seattle. But indeed the best shooter ever. We've saw that yesterday.

  • @roy21g uh.. he was immediately traded to the bucks.. then sonics 7 years later..

  • @roy21g he went to the Bucks

  • My nigga Jesus.

  • Was 1996 the best single draft ever for people in the first round becoming superstars for a long time?

  • My baby never "ages".....

  • He looks exactly the same as he does now.

  • Iverson? Nash? Jesus? Not HOF's?

  • fuck new york knicks suck in drafting.. instead of John Wallace they should draft BEN WALLACE because he is in this draft class. no drafted a future all star mother fucker.. KOBE IMAO LEBRON is GAY

  • Man what 1996 year that was a draft

  • @zaine98 1984

  • Yeah its been argued that this is the best NBA Draft Class, of course they argue it with '84 but we know why this is, but all around I think this is the best one, hell Kobe, Iverson, Jesus, Nash, Stephon, Atoine Walker, Ilgauskas (he stepped up his game), J O' Neil, Peja, Camby and Fisher? Come on now WHO can compete w/that? No one.

  • @KGLookALike 84 can, both have 4 Hall of Famers, but this class has only 1 in the top 25 all time (Kobe), the 84 class had 4.

  • @halokid26 You gotta wait though, I'm pretty sure A.I and Ray Allen are also gonna be future HOFs, Nash too

  • The only draft class I can think of that beats this one may be 2003's, possibly not even that. This one is STACKED.

  • @SymbiSpidey 1984

  • That's my Husky! :D

  • awsome player glad minnesota traded him 4 stephone that night

  • wow, allen iverson, marcus camby, stephon marbury, ray allen, antoine walker, kobe, peja stojakovic, steve nash, jermaine oneal, zyrdrunas illgaulskas, derek fisher...what a year.

  • @mrisaac1995 yeah i think the best draft year!

  • Yeah, Ray Allen and KG would've done some damage together in Minnesota

  • @zaine98 No...he's still got 117 more 3 pointers to make.

  • One more season and Ray Allen will pass Reggie Miller for the most 3 pointers in NBA history.

  • The best three point shooter behind Reggie miller

  • UConn produced some of the best shooters around: Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, Ben Gordon

  • Man who knew Garnett n Allen played in the same team b4 they join together in Boston, n the both got drafted in the same round n number (5th) just a year apart

  • @mexsnoop They didn't play together. They traded Ray the same night for Stephon Marbury

  • Dam this draft was loaded

    Allen Iverson

    Marcus Camby

    kobe bryant

    Ray allen

    Steven marbury

    Pega stojacovic

    Steve nash

    Shareef abdul rahim

Zydrunas ilgauskas to name a few!!!!!!

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou dont forget Jermaine Oneal, Derrick Fisher, Kerry Kittles and Samaki Walker, Marcus Brown and even Ben Wallace who wasent even drafted

  • @bigcritic69 Samaki Walker?? lol he suks, but yah this was a deep draft

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou LOL i meant Antoine Walker but samaki walker was a good contributer off the bench for the lakers

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou my man you forgot Jermaine Oneil

  • He can knock down some 3 pointers... Some? that's an understatement nowadays lol

  • Hall Fame Player, I knew he was great. At Uconn he was a unique talent

  • you are the man!great videos!could you find for others drafts?BRAVO

  • two greatest draft classes of recent: 1996, 2003

  • t wolves woulda had a killer team cassell, kg, ray allen what happend ? lol

  • Wasn't he traded for a #5 pick?

  • ray allen's mom lost weight.

  • how was allen iverson 1st ray allen 5th and kobe 14 yea right kobes waybetter then both of them!

  • @kobesdaking kobe came out of high school, not knowing if the guy could even play in college would you draft him in the pro's first? no. that's why these high school dudes went so low. iverson was college proven, as was camby and so on.

  • @goodfellabeats Dont forget about Marbury,he was great.

  • JR Rider? Doug West? reasons McHale traded Ray? Rider would get into more law trouble and would be traded, West would go on to play 2 more season with the Wolves.....smh. At least McHale came out and admitted that this trade continues to haunt him.

  • NBA teams picking a Uconn player= good idea. most of the time;)

  • Man the class of '96 was great! Allen, Kobe, Nash, Iverson, Camby etc

  • Who knew this guy would become the greatest shooter in the history of the game.

  • @slyester33 no one because hes not.

  • @slyester33 Reggie Miller?

  • @slyester33 I know, I got goosebumps from watching this.

  • @slyester33 I did lol

  • @slyester33

He's NOT the greatest shooter of all time..

That gesture is reserved for the jump shooter who consistently made the highest % of their shots (which isn't him), not the guy who has the most 3ptrs.

There's a difference between being "ranked" #1 at something & being the "best" at it..

  • @blackadam06 ...

  • @blackadam06 its bold to make a true statement like that now days, people dont think and they will bash people who get technical

  • @slyester33 He became Reggie Miller?

  • @dabears5408 no he was and is walter ray allen bitch.stfu please.

  • @slyester33 WRONG greatest 3 point shooter in history

  • RAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

  • outside the year the sixers went to the finals, he was never a factor in the nba... scoring a lot of points doesnt make you a great player idiot!...

also, he shot 42% when he won mvp--has to be a record... and in the playoffs that year, when they made that INCREDIBLE RUN THROUGH THE TOUGH EASTERN CONFERENCE, he shot 38%!!!

  • he has range ernie!

  • @RyanH4587 yea, he's another who wasted so much talent

  • Ahahahahahahaahahhahahaahhahahahaha.. you're a joke. but thanks for the laugh

  • I know Kevin McHale has to be one of the worst talent scouts ever

  • i love how allen and kg were teammates before being celtics....for about 5 minutes

  • DAMN you Kevin McHale!

  • @westsidenasfan

LOL!! What's up with them Wolves? Every time I look up, a super-star leaves their presence... Ray Ray, Chauncey Billups, Brandon Roy, O.J. Mayo... (SMH!!)

  • o.j. mayo is nothing close to a superstar... klove is better

  • @westsidenasfan more like kevin mcfail

  • timberwolvers should've kept ray allen,..he was a far better playa than marbury!

  • Wow Ray looks a lot like his Mom!

  • whoa, it's weird to see him shooting somewhat differently in college

  • KG was drafted by d T'Wolves d year b4 Ray did right? so d Wolves were a force 2 b reckoned with back then...

  • but ray was traded to milwaukee unfortunately

  • that too bad...at least they became team8s as C's

  • That's why the wolves had a top 5 pick 2 years in a row?

  • nice suit Ray.

  • al and johnny will be a power puch plus kevin love, rubio will come off bench

  • im praying Al Jefferson and Jonny Flynn are somewhat of a "could have been" KG & Marbury duo for yrs

  • well, who cares.. allen and marbury are now on the same team =] lol

  • Not exactly. They were on the same team, but Marbury is now a free agent. And it looks like Marbury won't be returning.

  • McHale can be blamed for alot of things as Wolves GM, but nobody thought it was a bad move at the time to trade Allen for Marbury. Most people thought it was a brilliant move for the Wolves. The people who bash McHale for it now should re-direct their blame toward Marbury, who ruined a great thing with him and KG.

  • In his post-draft interview he said, "Well you know Donyell Marshall is in Minnesota. And it's great, Minnesota is a great city."

    uh...

  • Fuck Kevin McHale.

  • God f*cking damnit McHale. You ruined our chances so many times at multiple rings by never surrounding KG, and by making this awful trade for Starbury. If only he had kept Ray Allen, or taken Steve Nash or Kobe, we would have won 2-3 rings atleast.

  • That's all well and good in hindsight. Nobody would have had the foresight to take Nash or Kobe that early in the draft. Nash wasn't regarded as being one of the more renowned players back then and it showed as he took at least 5 years to become a great player. Kobe was straight out of HS which can always be a bit of a gamble hence why he didn't go til pick 13. It's often a safer option to take a player who has experience at the collegiate level and has a bit more basketball maturity.

  • allen and kg are a great combo in boston. they would have been great in minnesota.

  • Dang.. if Allen and Garnett were still in the Timbervolves.. they would have been owning in the playoffs but with Marbury thats a different story cuz he wanted to be traded and it was only KG in the Timberwolves

  • i have no idea why timberwolves trade out ray.

  • because as hubie stated they already had jr rider and doug west at the 2 guard...hindsight is 20/20 as to not keeping ray allen

  • IC,thx

  • solid career? how about hall of fame career

    9 time all-star

    nba champion

number of times was named to 3rd team and even a 2nd team all nba

    olympic gold medalist

soon to be all-time leading 3 point shooter

  • Great Shooter, Great Leader,Great Person. Underated till he got to Boston. Has had a solid NBA career

  • I agree

  • i think when he got to boston he was under rated

  • alot of good players were drafted that year

  • I like Minnesota w/Ray Allen n I understand why they traded for Marbury at the time. However, they would have been better off drafting Steve Nash. Nash n KG playing together from day 1 woulda been SICK!

  • Nash didn't start out as good as he is now.

  • True, but many players develop after their first couple of yrs. This draft is a perfect example of that.

Lorenzen Wright (7), Kerry Kittles (8), Samaki Walker (9), Eric Dampier (10), Todd Fuller (11) and Vitaly Potapenko (12) were all drafted over.....

Kobe Bryant (13), Peja Stojakovic (14), Steve Nash (14), Jermaine O'Neal (17), Zydrunas Ilgauskas (20), Derek Fisher (24).

It's up to the "experts" to find the hidden gems (Nash) n to avoid players w/character issues (Marbury)

  • He took sasha vujacic off the dribble in game 4 so not THAT big a concern IMO :)

  • Ray Allen could've been with Garnett twelve years ago.

  • jesus shuttlesworth is in the building!

  • minnesotta is so stupid for getting starbury.
