Good mixing would be to let the beginning stand as a vocal solo with the kick keep beat. If anything the guitar should have started MUCH quieter. The guitars also sit very loud on the mix in general, backing them down a bit would have been ideal. NoProofOfHell is right, her voice is too powerful and too good to have the guitar in at the same times because of the frequency masking occurring because the lead guitar is in roughly the same frequency range as her voice until the chorus hits.
