Borderlands Review - Final Thoughts

IMO this game is just perfect for single player

when i get this game - i will complete it at least 5 times before i dare to try online

i mean,hey,it has 3 difficulties so i won`t be bored

but i guess tastes differ

but as for me,if i wanna have fun playing alone- i will play Borderlands

if i wanna play online - i`ll play Tekken 6 - thats where THE REAL fun is

Borderlands is good fun....but be warned xbox,PS3 players......it MUST be played online....thats where the fun is.Otherwise,single player is ok for 1 run through.....multiplayer is where its at.

The item leveling system is pretty much a blantent rip off of the WoW item levels, lol. WoW doesn't scale for you, but the items go from Whites > Greens > Blues > Purples > Oranges > Reds in WoW, with there being very few Orange items, and no Reds that I can remember, but I haven't played in a long time, lol.

Also, like WoW, this game has three different talent trees, which is a good idea, xD.

2. I do all the side missions. Because boss battles are hard as hell. Especially when i got like 50 feet long Skag against me, only option is just jump and run while shooting it. Should give more strategic choices

3. I can give myself head. - only good news. A bit uncomfortable tough.

I agree, no cheaters, not much to worry about, on the odd occasion a guy will come in and just loot all the chests, but most of the time I find people will stop and share items out if they think you'd like them, most people on the PSN seem to be their to have fun and help you it, the struggle/helping revive your dieing team mates is awesome

Borderlands got old kinda fast for me. Two days and I was done with it. It reminds me too much of WoW, which isn't really a bad thing, but the guys online make it kinda boring, what with their tech trees being full in all three tiers.

Good point about not doing side missions the first time through. The main missions are fun as hell if you are about 2 levels under them.

i've played through Borderlands on single player and i thought it was fun. But that maybe is because i was plating it 4 two days straight side by side with a friend. so we did the same stuff on the same time and it felt like we where playing together. But i've also played it on multi player and it is more fun.

The game has main missions that progress the story.....and side quests that just give you more exp and money. Don't do the side quests....or you'll out level the main story.

Err.. I'm playing as a Solider with a class mod expand 70% mag capicity and i have a put 5 skill points in to expand mag cap for Combat rifles/reduce recoil and increase mag cap. I'm rocking a smg that shoots 4 bullets per shot for 64 with a 224 in mag...plus i have metal strom maxed out. So when i get to killing... I start pissing lead ;P Post your ingame vid of BL

Metal storm is a stackable skill that Soldier can get...my first 5 kills speeds up my fire rate and reduces recoil. After 5 kills... my smg that shots 4 bullets with the cost of one bullet from the mag... literally starts pissing lead. My max reserve ammo for SMG is 1026....i can run throught that under a min. lol

I DEFINITELY AGREE about not doing too many sidequests, as i was lvl 35 for the boss on playthrough 1, and owned the FINAL BOSS in less than 40 seconds without changing gun, just standing there. Highly lame, no challenge - and I wasn't stopping to smell the roses much I didn't do many sidequests at all! Second time round I'm 48, will likely be 49 or 50 for end boss, and I think it'll be too easy again. Although I'm still using the SMG from playthrough one so maybe I just lucked out on a cool gun

I watched your review...but I disagree...I've had a lot of fun playing all the way to level 32 as a soldier by myself. When I did play online and joined with some people that kept dying on dumb stuff...so it made me not want to play online....not saying online isn't fun with a group of friends...just saying you can have fun if you don't play online.

I only played with friends and it was definitely a fun game if not a little too easy (if your 1-2 higher lvl than the mobs). But the plot... not necessary and not even good, but the play rocks.
