My experience with The Colony (15 years) is that the majority (not all) of people seem to think that they are immune to repercussions for their actions. They are the type of people that will stop you in Walmart to tell you you're going to hell for having a nose ring and not expect to get punched in the face. When they do get punched, they call the cops like they didn't deserve it. It's a safe town to raise your kids in but the schools are beyond disappointing and only have about 5 good teachers

The people on the "good side" of Main St. seem to have this notion that they live like Plano residents and that driving their imitation (Chrysler) Mercedes gives them the right away to everything. The people on the "bad side" are usually good-hearted but considered the ghetto. NO. I lived in Little 5 Points in Atlanta, GA. THAT is the ghetto. You don't hear gun shots every night in TC. Gimme a break. I love my friends from this town but mostly can't stand everyone else.

I lived in The Colony for just for 11 months is i felt in love, is a very beautiful city and very peaceful. I would like to go back and i think i will. Thanks for the video brought me a lot of memories. :)

@kidCRUMBIE35 Dude, the Colony is not ghetto... at all. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and that is a pretty ghetto area outside of the strip. The Colony is a quiet little no crime town, and if you can't make it here, never go to Nevada or LA.

I went to school in Lakeview, where the kids act real tough but they would never do anything.

I live in the colony form 1993 to 2002 and at first it was ok but by the time I moved it was full of drugs and violence. Someone got knifed at the end of out street the week I left. Anyways I have a whole lot of good memories and bad memories there.

The only good thing about TC is Austin Ranch and that my friends are tizight. Other than that, I would give up so much just to get out of this shit hole (it is IMPOSSIBLE to do parkour here besides going all the way to Austin Ranch).

I remember in the late 70's and early 80's I had a friend that lived in The Colony on a street called Arbor Glenn. Back the The Colony had one conveniece store called Stop n' Go, one school Camey elementary and I think it had one bar, I don't know I was too young. I was in that area the other day and couldn't believe the growth. It's hard to tell where Frisco stops and the Colony starts. Funny thing is that it was never originally intended to get that developed.
