The Beach Boys is my all time favorite band.(back when you could understand the lyrics) My very first girlfriend's name was Linda.Way back then she had beautiful shoulder length natural blonde hair that I loved to run my fingers through.......And boy could she kiss...All my life I always wondered what it would have been like if we had stayed together. Thank you for the memories..!.

From that show only remember Dennis as very drunk and Brian as that reclusive as he was then. He went to have a rest behind the speakers during that show.

@ClubViking63 What a sad, sad memory--DW & BW were both fighting & losing their inner battles. Between '80 & early '83, BW spiralled horribly. Drugs & depression almost killed him. DW also became hopelessly mired in alchohol, cocaine, & a lost sense of himself. It was a heartbreaking time, & part of why Carl left for 2 years. He could not stand by & watch it happen to his 2 older brothers. . Late'80 to 9/4/82--Carl's return--were a low-point in BB's history. Wolfsky9.

Lovely, lovely song. I remember that I was camping on the Isle of Wight at a village called Binstead, just outside Ryde. This song was on Radio Victory at least once an hour. The original radio station's gone. The camp site is now a housing estate. But the song's still as good as ever.

No, the lead vocal is definitely Alan. He wrote this song as a tribute to his wife, Lynda. If I remember correctly, Brian did not have much to do with the "LA" album. Bruce had re-joined the band as it's producer.
