@TrainGuy18 Actually, just like archbar trucks and chilled wheels, friction bearings are banned from interchange service only, unless all railroads involved agree to take responsiblity for movement. In this case, it was only a move of about two miles and over UP tracks only.
@TrainGuy18 It did run, but vandals stripped the traction motors. Cargill is donating the funds to rewind the motors so it will run again sometime in the future. Cargill is also repainting the engine.
Vandals took the motors, or they took the electrical windings? If they took the motors, thats impressive.
