Bill 101 did not just help Quebec, but the 2.5 million Franco-Ontarians, Acadians, Franco-Columbians, Franco-Albertans, Fransaskois', Franco-Manitobans, and Franco-Newfoundlander's. 2.5 million people wjo speek french who live outside of Quebec, who benifited from the bill. (2.5+8= 10.5 million people who didn't need tp worry about the fact English speeking Canadians out numbered us). P.S. Weaster provinces are assholes for the stadium issue.
whatever you think of Bill 101, what I love the most about Canada is that its bilingualism consists in the only 2 Western languages that I know. Had one of those 2 languages been, like, Spanish or German, then I would have felt the same way you do
I am happy that I the french are herded up in Quebec and the big dogs on the borders of the real CANADA keep them there. Your wasting your time with the french, just leave and go to the real Canada, it's so much better...just go man!!
@wildnutria Quebec IS part of the real Canada. The real Canada is Quebec and Ontario, no other provinces can be called part of real Canada by anyone who knows history or Geography (Ontario and Quebec have 65% of Canada's population).
@dave19941000 Wrong, Quebec does not want to be a part of Canada so then Quebec is NOT Canada, try to understand that...and bill 101 is NOT a Canadian!! Quebec is a dictatorship.
@wildnutria Dumeass, in BOTH refurendumes the people of Quebec voted to stay Canadian. If the YES votes had won you'd be right, but the NO votes won the day. And FYI, Alberta dosn't want to be part of Canada either, but you don't see anyone complaining about that.
"Quebec is a dictatorship"
I didn't know that a dictator came to power by a democratic election, and has little power because of the opposition, oh wait, they don't. Your just pissed because the smartets PM's where from Quebec.
@dave19941000 No dave, I not pissed off at all, I really don't care about Quebec, I don't live there anymore, It's a really shit place to live, your eather french or in denial, that's all, now don't bother me anymore..
The bill 101 is a respnse to the conclusion of the lac meech meeting. If the french had been protected just a little bit, this law would have never existed but the english want to live in a francophone province without even speaking french, this is ridiculous. How can they coexist with us if the communication is impossible.
Read the Dam Constiution Act of 1867, This Act Proclaimed Both English and French as Co-Official Languages of the Dominion of Canada (Federal Government and Courts) and its Province of Quebec (Provincial Government and Courts). The French Language was protected under this Act and there was no need for Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) it is time for this Law to be replaced by Bill 199 (Charter of the French and English Languages) to ensure equality in the Province of Quebec
