i wonder if eric vocal demo's of project songs are also available, theirs a vulnerable subtilty to his vocal performance to bad though that this and if their are other eric vocals on the internet that they were  not filmed it would be great for posterity and a keep ssake for his fans, fortunately before he left us eric had songs filmed that he performed on piano

@azzorroww I hope so but fear not......Usually these tracks are only on the original masters before mixing. That would be the only source and recording companies are not known for doing anything that doesn't make them money. I glad we at least got a chance to hear this one tho.

It seems most people leaving comments here do not have a clue as to what happens in the studio and the way recordings are made.This is a guide vocal track only, and is rarely ever used,if ever.

Yes, I suppose this really was recorded as a demo, because there isn't all of the orchestral background and so on.

But so far I haven't heard even one rendition that didn't make me stop and listen and sigh with delight. It's such a lovely...sad...VERY sad...but lovely song. I assumed, the first time I heard it, that it was about contemplating suicide and that was why it was only being played on the radio at 4:00am! Not at all sure of that now, but I've loved it since I first heard it.

I don't think this is a remastered version.

I think this is a "guide vocal"; that means it's a version sung by Eric Woolfson for the person who would eventually sing in on the album, who turned out to be Colin Blunstone.

You can also see that the saxophone part was added later.

With all due respect, I prefer much better the original version mate. And, to my ears, this is not Eric Woolfson, he sounds so different in the record and other songs. Sorry if Im wrong. By the way, THIS SONG IS HEAVENLY.

What was I thinking! Woolfson was not the singer of the original, I know that. Sorry! Eye in the Sky was one of the first LPs that I listened to, I was very young, and to this day I love that record.

What you hear is Eric, our former label-boss did the programming for the keyboards for "Turn of a friendly card" and "Eye in the Sky" albums, and he has told me first about this version. Eric and Alan wrote the song, and recorded this Demo then...and then they've decided, that Colin should sing it. But at the end it's simply a great song ;-)

@Sacon, this is a DEMO: Eric Woolfson, as songwriter, had recorded this as a guide for Colin Blunstone. So it's natural that it's not recorded with the same care dedicated to a definitive recording.

This should be in theory private material. Eric did a great present to us fans by including this as bonus track on the expanded edition of EitS. Until recently it was unheard, deep in archives, so it's a rare gem.

@sacon05 That's because the vocal on the recording done by APP is sung by Colin Blunstone. This is a guide vocal track that gets removed when the vocals are over dubbed in latter. It's meant to guide the musicians when the recording is in the process. Not meant as the finished product.

El proyect era mucho mejor,

para mi freudiana es el album bueno el proyect, sencillamente fantastico. ahora creo que han sacado una version extendida

de historias de misterios, solia caer hipnotizado cuando escuxaba los priemros acordes de ese disco, cuando tenia ocho añs y le quitaba ami hermano las cintas para escucharlas por la noche, ajajaj.

I robot es tambien un album muy bueno.

estimado amigo, Freudiana no era del project, sino un album solo de eric woolfson en el cual contrato a todo el equipo del project, incluido Alan Parsons.

Concuerdo completamente contigo en que el Freudiana es una autentica obra maestra, una absoluta maravilla, cada vez que oigo temas como por ejemplo "dont let the moment pass" se me ponen los pelos de punta.

Por otro lado creo que haces mencion al POE. Es un musical creado por woolfson en solitario, no interviene Alan. Saludos.
