Thanks for the informative vid, I was looking to get into the game and now have an idea of how I might actually like to play it. Do you have a vid touching on the different factions?
Well you did the fleet tactic roll wrong and terran ships fixed weapons on their fore don't fire in an arc. you also forgot that you get pd dece for ships in the same squadron within 4 but otherwise okay introduction.
@redgreen09 Actually they have a faction now that is called 'Marauders' and they are pirates! So far they only have a couple of ships for this faction, but I suspect we will see more in the future. As to using non-Firestorm Armada miniatures, I suppose that is up to you or the club you attend. One really neat thing is that in the FA rulebook there is a section that allows you to create your own ships, with each upgrade adding points, allowing you to easily use ships you already own!
At some point we may, however our goal right away is to get more videos for many more game systems up, as well as some tutorial videos on painting, terrain making, and modeling. Initially we want to cover all of the game systems that we sell in our store with a video like this, to give people an introduction. After we've done that we will likely go back, and make more involved multi-part demonstrations. Think of this as the quick demo :)
@TheHalomannen You are correct. Actually all Terran ships (at least the ones in the starter box) have fixed fore weapons. We were just trying to give as quick and simple an example of combat as possible without getting into the special rules of individual ships (you'll notice we didn't mention the way the Dindrenzi deal with broadsides either). Hopefully that didn't confuse too many people. Thanks for the interest!
I really liked it but other than the previously mentioned music volume my only complaint is that there was a little too much "wetness" to the dialogue. Not sure what the technical term for it but it sounded like you have a mouth full of taffy creating a smacking spitty sound. Does that make sense? It's like "popping ones Ps" but wetter. Maybe it was just me.
Very good intro video for Firestorm Armada! Are you planning more FA videos to deal with the other races and special rules? Nice paint jobs on the ships!

I'm personally not a big fan of the sepia-tone old-school style vids though. Big fan of the up to date, technicolour going disney style. :P

Just come across your vid, Great work guys! Nice and simple to follow break down of the rules looks a good game. Planning on gitting a copy.
I like the old-school style found it easy to consentrat on what you are saying with out been distracted by the shinny colours and great board.
Keep up the good work looking forward to more vids

Good vid, I am new to FA, and it is good to see a intro.
But isnt the terran cruiser forward weapon fixed? As in, it can only fire strait ahead, and not in a 90 decree?
