On this radio, I would put the control in the spot for Delta Tune. On a 29 NW LTD, I'd set the dimmer where I want it, tape it up inside, and put the echo control in that spot (I think it's the same location on both radios, because the NW doesn't have Delta Tune.
hey there can do a video of installing the rf limited br-1 echo reverb board and do a test on it to be sure it works want to hear how it sounds thanks
hi have you heard of a br-1 echo board by rf limited i am wondering if you can do a video on that i want to hear how sounds before i get one and also the workman bb 1 echo board thanks
i realy don't see an advantage using echo, when doing dx, operators with little signals using an echo are not understandable !...i always skip these ones...
I wouldn't say there is any advantage to using echo - but many people do like to have it. There definitely is a fine line between adding just a hint of echo to sound unique or going overboard and doing the repeater for 10 minutes to be annoying :)
@cbradiomagazine I understand that adding some bit of echo may sound nice.....i play music, and adding some echo (in a studio-record) sure adds a dimension. But it is that dimension that plays me parts when I am trying to contact a very distand station wtih lots of qsb/qrm, a very low signal and a echo voice .....The effect demands more concentration for the listener. .
32 years of cb and amateur radio have teached me not to use echo...of course it is personal..but i know i'm not alone
Most of the circuit boards on the four pin radios will still have four wires exicting them (Ground, Audio, TX, RX) - it's just a matter of idenitifing them.
is it a sin wife said they that on cober 29 ltd classic let me know place.

I would have used the delta tune instead,its nice to have a rf gain...I like using it better than squelch.Plus delta tune never made a diff.for me??

@paraglidermx
i agree. thats what i would do ,i do not use the delta tune but i do use the rf gain to drop noise level.

@micheldezanger their is two types of echo people.... Ones who play and ones who use it to help give a bigger radio sound..
if done right 90% of the people wont know its on but if you turn it off you can tell

what do you do on a radio that has a tiny circuit board on the back of the mic plug inside the radio. commonly found on cobra ssb radios

For great explanation of how to identify microphone wires go to google and type " cbcintl mike wiring guide "

@cbradiomagazine I would wrap that board in bubble wrap incase it vibrates loose and shorts out on the board ;-)

@paraglidermx use loctite on the screw and it should hold fast.
