  • amazing blood effects!

  • whats the program you use

  • what is the software??!

  • HI thanx man...its a great tips man..

  • Can we see more of your movie?

  • Good Work ! There's a future DP .

  • you look like fernando torres

  • How'd you do such good blood?

  • thx

  • Where did you film this?

  • Nice job!

  • great tutorial bro and the effect you acheived is outstanding!

  • how about a pistol

  • Wow that was pretty good and very informative . But I have one question. You said it would be pretty easy to find a program to do this with . Well the only ones i can find cost money wich is something i don't have and i can't find a free one. What program did you use here ?

And TrickyfilmsCo .......... no it can't be done with windows movie maker if it could i probably would have never ever seen this video here.

  • @ThePenquinX Have a look at lightworks, should do the job and it's free

  • ads for mormons what the fuck.

  • wait can this be done with windows movie maker ? 2.6 or live ???

  • @TrickyfilmsCo I don't think you can do any color grading in movie maker.

  • @TrickyfilmsCo no but the youtube editor can do that

  • @TrickyfilmsCo He said CHEAP not FREE!

  • @TrickyfilmsCo if you want to do this stuff free download videopad - you'll start off with the trial of the payed version but once it is up just go to add/remove programs, find videopad, hit change and downgrade to the free version - its pretty much the same as the payed version, when I used to use it i couldn't find any differences

dont know if they fixed it yet but one of their updates forces you to use 4:3 aspect instead of 16:9 but i still have the installer for 16:9 if you want it

  • @TrickyfilmsCo This can probably be done, but if you want to get more serious with colour correcting, then you should probably consider getting better software.

  • @TrickyfilmsCo haha NO!

  • @TrickyfilmsCo To answer your questetion: I don't think so no, you might want Final Cut(for Mac) Sony Vegas Pro 9, 10, 11 etc, or Adobe After Effects, or any other proffesional program, so no you can not use Windows Movie Maker, 2.6 or live.

  • @TrickyfilmsCo works for me

  • @TrickyfilmsCo no but in Imovie it's possible

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials It's from VideoCopilot's Pro Score.

  • great video keep up the good work.

  • Good work :) and very well explained..

  • also lower the framerate.

  • The wide screen is bad in my opinion, looks unrealistic.

  • What editing software did you use rosenchuck?

  • DUDE THIS IS AWESOME

  • hey man great work!

Could you just tell me which video editing software you used for this please? :)

  • Epic Mealtime!!! What up

  • you should do some color correction....

  • lol epic mealtime

  • u fucking suck asshole why dont u give a real trailer u douchebag

  • @macoproject *Turial*

  • cool vid! where do you get your foley from?

  • Great video tutorial buddy. Love the insight on great color correction. Just wondering what settings you'd use on Final Cut to improve the acting ability of the cast? Although, the Vietnamese actors who must have been hiding in the trees were brilliant. When the camera panned across the "Jungle" it's almost as if there were none there. Added you're vid to my collection

  • Nice job - thanks for posting.

  • Saving private Ryan and Band of brothers were the perfect examples of how a war movie should look like.

  • I still watch this even though I know how to do this

  • goooooooooodddddddddddddddddddd man a love thanks

  • Great tutorial but what about a grainy look to it? I'd like to see that in an amature war film.

  • I agree with some of your insights BUT check out movies like Transformers or any Michael Bay films... They are over saturated and a lot of action...

  • you're not supposed to just adjust contrast and saturation... there's a lot more to color correcting.

  • There's no grain effect!

  • you kinda look like nick jonas :D

  • You're hot lol

  • What kind of camera are you using?

  • pleaz watch my war movie!

    /watch?v=IZmiclGNu_A

  • how can i put the to back barrs at the top and down??? the last bit of the video

  • @Tenaguer If your Using CS3 (its what I have) Use the Box Mask tool on the top bar. The Box doesn't make the Black boxes, but makes the video with en the box and blacks out where you dont have the box... hard to explain but you'll see once you try it.

  • @Tenaguer Windows Movie Maker > Tools > Options. Click 16:9 where it says "Aspect Ratio".

Alternatively, you can use a widescreen template I made to work with the WMM bluescreen code. PM me and I'll send you the code and the template.

  • @Prim3StaR i have already done it but thanks a lot for the help

  • If you turn the framerate down to 24 (film specifications) it would be perfect!

  • @NathanLorenzen bullshit, the human eye can't tell the difference between the two frame rates

  • @GoingSkateboarding its technically 23.98 fps but its the framerate that is used in Hollywood my good sir.

  • @NathanLorenzen i know why you said it i just mean, you can't actually notice a change from 30 or so frames to 24. unless its being played in a theatre, theres no need. so 24fps is useless unless you just want to be that cool kid who uses cinematic frame rates...

  • I like the bullet flight sound effect. Awesome. Also you were dead on the color correction, only other thing i would suggest is lowering the framerate to 24 when you shoot.

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials Video Copilot Pro Scores music in the background.

  • Sony Vegas? or something?

  • If you call this tutorial you have not seen ANY tutorial in your live. This is parody.

  • that was cool

  • thanks lol

  • what movi editing program did you use

  • @DorKaschpor - Prim3StaR is right partially, it depends on how much contrast you change. If you notice the darker the skin the more Vectorscope for skin is off a little. That is why you have to do the contrast first and then go back and correct the skin tone. Nothing racist about what you said, you just have to

  • lol watch in hd? max is 480p...no where near hd

  • Cool vid. Explains it very simple. thanks dude.

  • Epice, squad takes cover in the open fild..good squadlearder

  • Next talking head :/

  • wat a total bunch of bull bags show us how u did it through the program

  • Thanks alot! This is sure gonna help me :D

  • The final render looks a lot like Tour Of Duty. Good job m8.

  • What video editing software do you use?

  • I'm subscribing to this genius

  • @rosenchuck1 How'd you accomplish the bullet streak and sound effects ?

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials Its actually Video Copilot Pro Scores

  • Well done kid, keep it up...

  • Thanks!

  • nice! even makes my vids recorded with a Sony cyber shot 7.2 mega pixels look professional lol!

  • @rakib567 that's for after effects though, this is for final cut

  • Please reply PLEASE I really need help, ok so you know how when you finish a movie you got like 30 different clips for like different scenses and cuts.Well for example I use After effects, should I import all the clips into AE at once and work with every thing or should I put like all the video thruw like premier and make all the videos into like one big movie, and the work with one BIG movie.or should I edit all of the video's at a time and then import that in premier and glue it all togherthe

  • What editing program do you use?

  • do you know what would make it alot better

try to put the frames from 24 to 12

  • Did he die?

  • @rakib567 buy action essentials 2 its amazing

  • @Zeetoofilms yep, its very good and u learn a lot of stuff without going to film school. :D

  • hey what type of software are you useing ?

  • hey with what programs i can make a movie? mac

  • @Elmasterjudio Final Cut Pro is a great program to get started with...

  • 2:00 you sound like a member of the Klan

  • THAT IS SO AWESOME

  • It needs a little bit of color correction. decrease the Yellow n turn down the color saturation a little.

  • haha that sounds so racist

  • What software can i use to do this??

  • Funny how turning up the contrast is the antithesis of what our TVs try to achieve with higher contrast ratios now. They loose the detail in post, we try to get it back.

  • RosenChuck Norris :D

  • Awesome! but hey haven't i mentioned that you really really look like matt dallas!!. 0.0

  • Why does the sound of the bullet arrive before the bullet itself?

  • F*uckin GREAT !!!

  • I wish I could afford any editing software. I'm stuck with Movie Maker, isn't that a joke? xD I'm saving for a Canon SX30is (can't afford a DSLR and now using my Droid X) maybe when I get it I'll play around with the trial version of Adobe Premier

  • @ONIProductionsLtd Dude go for Blender if you are cheap like me because it's free, and though people know it for 3D animations only, but actually its Video editor is great too, but yes it's hard to master, but you can do all the stuff in it like keying, masking, motion tracking (with the help of Voodoo which is also free software), etc.

  • @ONIProductionsLtd hey i bet you would like canon sx30 is. i have one. and the image stabilisation is great. but it cost too much battery life when you take videos.

  • Don't Do Contrast When Theres A Black Man In The Movie

  • @SamuraiPheonix LOL Oh man you just made my day.

  • @SamuraiPheonix

    i laughed

  • @SamuraiPheonix I lol'd.

  • @SamuraiPheonix

    LMAO.

  • @SamuraiPheonix LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! omg lol

  • @SamuraiPheonix And why that pheonix care to elaborate? you truly to imply something racist?

  • @EMPERORSHEN he is joking....

  • @SamuraiPheonix stupid racist

  • @DorKaschpor Dude, there's nothing racist racist about it. If the scene is light but there is a black person or other dark-skinned person in the scene, using a higher contrast will throw everything off and make some parts extremely light, and some parts extremely dark. He was just simply stating a fact and giving advice. No reason to pull out the race card.

Yet, if someone were to say, "Don't use contrast if there's a white guy [in a dark scene]", you'd likely think nothing of it.

  • @Prim3StaR @DorKaschpor - Prim3StaR is right partially, it depends on how much contrast you change. If you notice the darker the skin the more Vectorscope for skin is off a little. That is why you have to do the contrast first and then go back and correct the skin tone. Nothing racist about what was said, just needed to be explained a little better.

  • @SamuraiPheonix - The darker the skin of the person, because of pigment, the skintone on the vectorscope is off. For darker skin you have to individually correct the skin. You can still use contrast.

  • @SamuraiPheonix hahahahaah LMFAO XD

  • @SamuraiPheonix in this case Ben Stiller- Tropic Thunder.

  • what camera was this shot on??

  • Good video, but low saturation sucks for us moviegoers.

  • @rakib567 whats the video copilot

  • @comedyvsaction it's a website!!! -.-!

  • make the tutorial

  • The OOONLY two things which were missing:

    1. Working with Depth of Field to focus on that main soldier

    2. 24p to make the motion smooth

    The rest was very good

  • How I can do this blood-splatter on 1:04!!! I will make a war film but i don´t can find it how I can do it!!! Please answer me!!! Thanks!!!

  • @TheMrSimto im pretty sure he used squibs, which are remote controlled blood packs, it doesnt look like a generated effect.

  • @MaddenMan888 Okey Thank you!!!!!: )

  • thanks man, i new i was missing something, that was saturation, thanks :)

  • Excellent tutorial, thanks . . . !!!

  • really good, easy to understand, it helped a lot thanks!

  • thanks this was a huge help

  • how did you do that blood effect? and what editing system did you use?

  • @HAHAHAF1LMS good old water + red food coloring + corn syrup

  • wow im impressed. In the beginning and even after you were done the color correction i thought it would look like shit. However the finished scene with the music and sound effects looked really good. It just sows you can make a good movie without a great camera.

  • Michael Cera, is that you?!

  • wats the song?

  • He reminds me of young George Lucas! ;-)

  • @VirtusPatriaaa you have to be a youtube partner

  • NICELY DONE!

  • also the actors are over acting...what you need is someone there with a real gun shooting near by to shit them all up so you can see REAL fear in their faces.. haha... its got to be done... dont get me wrong its near but no cigar...and the camera is way to shakey.. its like your trying to create a perspective from someone in the field with that filming style... better to tripod and setout the scene fixed and panning.. then switch if there is a main soldier (leader) or something .. my 2 cents

  • it still looks TV and not film like... what are the frame per second... 24 ? and modo is a better option for colouring... works a charm... Also a decent lens will help to...

  • awesome vid tyvm....but can u tell me where u got the bullet lines you see passing in the final scene?...can anybody help me plz it'll be great

  • This is pretty good =)

  • dude the blood shouldve been red

  • @jammapcb really? you're gonna complain about the sky being over exposed! Did you ever stop to think that maybe they chose to do that on purpose? Like on... oh i dont SAVING PRIVATE RYAN.

  • Howd you get the blood to come out of your chest!?

  • The sky is beyond over exposed....

  • Hmm i understand i just dont understand where do you make the vid what site?

  • Just two little things and that video really looked much more better and professional! Thanks about that. Can you tell me something cheap/free and good video editing softwar? For Windows XP. :)

  • I have a hard time taking advice from a video that doesn't even fill the whole screen XD

  • if you like to see the cinema history watch *BIRTH OF CINEMA* in youtube and enjoy.

  • yo does anyone know the music in the background? its fuken epic

  • thts brilliant

  • I have learned a lot from this video tutorial Thanks

    :-)

  • How would you do this in WMM or Wax2.0?

  • @Ultranerdguy

you probably wouldn't want to. windows movie maker is complete garbage.

i'm pretty sure wax doesn't have any color correction filters, but it's still a much better program than wmm.

i can't guarantee it, but i believe virtualdub has a filter that can accomplish something similar, it's free also but isn't very user friendly. your best bet though, is to buy a real editing program for a couple hundred.

ps. ignore this tutorial. it's very much the wrong way of color correcting.

  • @robertnost I agree. Amateurs make this mistake quite often simply because they don't know any better. It does not end up looking professional. Instead, it weakens the shot. Hopefully, he will learn a more professional approach to his craft once he enters film school.

  • Awsome you kids a off to a great career start good luck, great video and movie clips aswell.

  • were did you get those sound affects?

  • You called that professional look???????

  • something even easier is if you just shot in 24fps then did basic effects... it would come out even better :)

  • Did you use Sony Vegas 9.0 ?? Please Write back.. and how did you made the scene one o top and the other at the bottom please write me a msg if possible thanks dude ..

  • @BOSSPRODUCTION01

He uses Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects

  • @Paintballer112893 Thanks!

  • Did you use Sony Vegas 9.0 ?? Please Write back..

  • that was intense, but the musik could have been a lil better

  • where can I get great film music like yours ?

  • @SuperKeyboarder

from any movie! search for Battlefield 2 theme

  • @SuperKeyboarder I would like to know the same thing!
