  • 0:58 No wonder Germany's economy went down the shitter after WWII. So many government officials engaging in copyright infringement would get them them many lawsuits...

  • The film is not to be confused with "The downfall of Berlin anoyma", by the same producer.

  • haha amazing satire

  • Long story short, there are two things you should absolutely never do:

Don't fuck with the internet and their cute Japanese stuff.

Don't fuck with the internet and their Hitler jokes.

  • @Dragonmie because secretly we all love the Axis

  • love the move DONWFALL

  • Probably a fair approximation of how the real meeting went.

  • New Hitler Downfall parody: youtube.com/watch?v=7--X-edizpQ

  • I wonder if Constantin Films has ever heard about "YOU CAN'T DESTROY A IDEA".

  • Woa meta.

  • Hahahahahahaha these never get old.

  • Downfall is a great movie! Anyone who's never seen it, you owe it to yourself to see it! And yes, Hitler. Bruno Geinz did a wonderful job portraying you! lol

  • hey sfaddict, not everyone who posts videos on youtube is a major movie producer. who gives a shit. the subtitles were what the attention was supposed to be on.

  • Looks like the producer did a piss poor job of keeping on top of these spoofs.

By the way you are right, the reason they are now still allowed to be done is because fair use copyright law covers this.

If you have a spoof that is taken down, or a documentary fair use covers you.

  • @TR0LL2R0CKS the producer has said he likes them. constantin film doesn't like them.

  • @Dagarvs I think it was that the DIRECTOR liked them, and the production company, which is Constantin, didn't.

  • @MisatoK29 both, happily!

  • wait is this from inglorious bastards

  • @roflchips1 heh

  • Changing subtitles may not be enough... if it is... we can upload any tv show /movie we want just have small subtitles and call it a parody!!

  • @rebelyell1983x You are really reaching. There is also the fact that the parody clips don't contain enough of the actual movie to constitute copyright infringement. You really need to read the 'Fair Use' clause before you go posting about stuff you don't know about.

  • I bet only a few people had even heard of Downfall before the parodies.

  • @NoobsWorstNightmare This is what makes Constantin producers so dumb! I don't know of any other film producers that bitch about getting free advertising and promotion. When I heard about the possible takedowns, I did some research on this and found that George Lucas likes it that there are Star Wars parodies being posted on Youtube. Lucas obviously has a litlle more common sense than Constantin Films does.

  • 12 people disliking this vid are Constantin staffs or DMCA people.

  • lmgdao, cant believe my homework was to watch this.

    i >[[heart]]< my i.t. class xD

  • That was great

  • Hmm... First of all would like to comment on the content of this video. It's quite interesting, i would say. Good job on your content. However, I am slightly disappointed with the editing of this video though. What is the background noise I hear that's quite irritating? And could you shrink the subtitles please? There's one part where half of the screen is covered with subtitles. Furthermore, please match your subtitles with Bruno Ganz's speech. Don't let your subtitles be too long.

  • @TheSFAddict Other than these everything's alright. I like the quality of your video though, it's just the sound pulling it back.

  • dear friends from constantine, youtube, whatever: you suck! I understand you want to be payed for something, so you do what youtube policy says, but at least use your brain and delete boring stuff, not also good videos, cause they have bigger value and might inspire people for good things & life and give them a little more happiness, which is far more valuable, than the money.

  • This is an excellent parody.

  • I loved this movie. I wouldn't have found out about it if it wasn't for the car parody.

  • ROFL......

  • This is the best one yet!

  • those Youtube people are PUSSIES #LOL

  • I used mu first ever hard earned salary to hire a smash and grab mob in 1932 to maintain law and order. Those youtube morons would have used the money to go to holiday in Spain. I was going to conquer Russia-America-Mexico-Canada and the Bermudas were it not for stupid Fegelain. How dare you insult me and even go so far as suggesting that I wanted to have a pair of Sarah Palin's panties ! You are all under arrest ! (signed - Adolph)

  • I laughed really hard at 2:15 ~ 2:20 ...

  • Absolutely scathing! I love you!

  • 12 people who thumbs downed are FUCKING PUSSIES

  • really a great parody

  • Fuck you Constantin Film ! FUCK YOU !!!

Fuck off all the producer who spoilt our rights

  • Hitler rules

  • awesome. hands off the video constantin films *pries grubby fingers off*

  • youtube are a bunch of lazy pussies. you think with all these intrusive ads they'd have enough money to hire people to actually watch the video to check if it breeches copyright.

  • (Cries over the death of free speech)

  • EFF Sue their asses! How dare they take down the best parodies! The xbox360 one is no where to be found no :(

  • Brilliant! I hope that the Youtube people take note of the 'pussies' remark. Someone must stand up to these humourless suits and boorish control freaks. Bad PR is is good for a free internet. I hope that there are mirror sites for all of these excellnt spoofs.

  • "Those Youtube people are pussies" LOL

  • I am one of those people that saw the parody and then, consumed with curiosity, went to see the film.

Quote: "We were great once - a proud industry - we innovated. We were fantastic.

Now we're a lawsuit factory!" LOL

  • @andreasBeaverhausen Yeah, I had no idea this movie existed before these parodies. I'm curious to see it now because of them.

  • Maybe the best parody of this film and scene...

  • One of these days when I'm browsing the shelves at my local video store, I'll see Downfall on the shelf. I'll think about how much I love the parodies and how much they made me want to fork over cash for the real deal. Then I'll remember how Constantin Films tried to fuck us all over here on YouTube by trying to violate fair use laws. I'll realize I'd rather torrent the movie than let Constantin have my money. Sit on it and spin fuckers.

  • IRONY

  • I hate all these bad translated hitler movies

  • The awesome part is that now this is just two links from the homepage, and one from YouTube's blog post talking about Content ID and fair use.

  • DOWN WITH THE MAN!!!!

  • Fair use or not, Constantin Films are either idiots or geniuses by trying to take down the parodies: Are they being idiots by cutting off millions of viewings that make people who would have never heard of their movie aware of it? Or geniuses by doubling the impact by the millions of blog posts about the take downs, thus exposing even more millions to the movie? Idiots or geniuses? You decide.

  • "Stallman"? "STALLMAN"?!?!? Really??? FFS...

  • I'm from germany and because of this, i can't really lough ;_;

This movie is called "Der Untergang" and it's a really good movie

  • It is interesting how worried is the producer about people making fun of Hitler. Why is he putting so much effort in preserving Hitler's figure?

  • So win!!!!

  • LEAVE INTERNET FREE FUCKING CORPS/GOV/PPL WITH A LOT OF POWER, WE WILL HUNT YOU DOWN IF YOU DO XD lawl

  • the funny party about this stuff is that the industry doesn't see that they are digging their own grave.. just like the ubisoft drm bullshit.

people who buy it legally have problems. pirates don't

the same is for this shit if i see a funny scene i want to see the rest.

i could buy the dvd or i could download it.

i would go for downloading just because i boycott the industry now..

havent bought a cd/game/movie for over 5/6 years now.. just because of the money taking company's

  • hahahahahaha

  • I wonder, when they were taking the videos down, if they watched them before and laughed?

  • For what it's worth, seeing one of the first Downfall parodies made me want to see it. I wouldn't have rented the movie if I hadn't seen the clip. I suspect I'm not alone.

  • @bradtem - in response to your dispute claim in the description of your video - Good for you!! Congratulations on winning the "first round" of this blatant attack on fair use!

  • Well Mr. Brad Templeton, you are just another exhibitionist seeking media attention.

What you do with your video is not a true art, but just another conflict creation, by someone not having all his personal problems solved.

  • I've been meaning to rent Downfall... now I think I'll just rip a free copy

  • 0:31 FAIR USE

  • If they don't run Windows, who cares?!

  • I guess it was only a matter of time before the folks at Constatin Film did something like this. I just don't get how they imagine DMCA takedowns will 'protect the artists'. It just alienates their fanbase and reduces exposure for them.

I tracked down, rented and watched 'The Downfall' after seeing the parodies on YouTube. It's a great movie, and Bruno Ganz does a fantastic job. But I'd never even heard of Ganz till I saw the parodies.

  • @balaknair Me, too. The first time I saw anything of Der Untergang (Downfall) was YouTube. I was going to buy it after seeing it on special at a local DVD store. Not any more if they are going to be upset over parodies—especially this one, which IMO was done legally (the author even detailed how he laboriously obtained the footage and bought two copies!).

  • Any of the people getting offended by the Downfall Parodies need to take the giant stick outta their ass. Ya, you heard me you dumbasses thinking this makes the holocaust less of a big deal. Dumb big nosed retard society getting anal about it. It's fine, stop being anal, grow a damn sense of humor.

  • ULTRA-META!!!

  • I can't believe the complete cunts at Constantin Film are taking down all these vids. The original videos of Xbox Live and PS3 error have gone. I did one about the TV show "Take Me Out" and it's gone. I fucking hate them. They are retarded!!!

  • UNBELIEVABLE META WIN

  • Stallman

  • OMG... this is the best of all!!!

  • I love the "We might as well become communists... like STALLMAN" twist, because it's the one video where the original "STALIN" would have actually fit. :P

  • @Arancaytar It's where 'Stalin' did fit. Hitler said 'Stalin' right where they subtitle said 'Stallman'. Hilarious.

  • @Arancaytar Yeah, that Stalin -> Stallman mapping made me laugh out loud. Great stuff.

  • Madness.

  • "Like Stallman!" lol... perhaps the last, perhaps the best

  • Constantin Film are shooting themselves in the foot. By trying to block these parodies, they are HURTING the people behind this movie, NOT helping them in any way. If anything, seeing one of these clips might inspire someone to actually watch the movie, which is a GOOD thing for the company.

  • The Final Solution!

  • Constantine films should take a leaf out of the Monty Python book: instead of challenging the YouTube pirates, they went and set up their own channel. Which helped increase sales of their DVDs by 1000%. SOmeone should tell Constantine...

  • Constantin Film, go to hell.

Why are they always as*holes to spoil the fun ?

  • I don't believe it's considered a "parody" unless the video AND audio are re-created. Under this argument, I can just take the entire Star Wars movie, dub in new voice actors with a parodied script, and call it my own.

  • This is quality (even though I understand German). I've seen so many of those parodies, but this one is the most ironic of them all..

  • "Don't tell me it helps sales... We might as well all become communists... like Stallman!" I LOL'ed at this! Supremely good.

  • bradtem, you're in the right. They have no legal standing.

  • The line about Stallman was brilliant.

  • Best video ever uploaded to YouTube.

  • Grab this while you can, kids. These "Downfall" videos have all gotten DCMA takedown orders.

Once again, copyright holders show themselves to be greedy douchebags, stifling any creativity.

  • @mhirtes12 Grab this? There are mirrors on the internet. Why would I waste my time trying to save this? Not even funny enough to keep.

  • @mhirtes12 Yes, and all that is required is the owners of such videos to challenge it as "parody - fair use" and they will be put back up.

Youtube (google) are required by the DMCA to take down first and then ask the user if they want to challenge, or risk their safe harbour status.

  • watching these parody clips just makes me want to see this movie even more

if it weren't for these clips, I would have never heard about this movie

  • @djguapo I've never heard of the movie until now either, but I won't be encouraging their behavior. I might like to watch the movie, even buy it, but not until they realize (and admit) that their (Constantin Films) behavior is over the top, abusive, and unacceptable.

  • It's too bad the dumb fucking corporate cunt copyright holders don't realize that these types of videos are a NET-POSITIVE to them, and only INCREASES the chance that someone will pay money to watch and perhaps buy their movie. Are all corporate execs this short-sighted and greedy? Oh wait, I think i just defined "corporate execs".

  • Wait a minute! When Hitler tells everyone who has violated a copyright to leave the room, Goebbels STAYS!? You know that hack must have stolen LOTS for his propoganda mill! ;)

  • lmao.. pure win!!

  • This is the best parody of them all! I had one relating to the TV show Take Me Out, but the most charming people(!) at Constantin Film have removed it! I thought it was just me, but I guess it isn't. How many others have been removed?

  • I think a great solution for all these problems is to discontinue lawsuits, PERIOD!

  • Thumbs and big toes up on this one!

  • You do realize that until these videos most people were unaware this movie even existed. If i was the producer i'd be pretty fucking grateful.

  • @lordboojum Agreed, the director himself was actually very pleased with the meme.

  • What luck for rulers that men do not think.

    ( Adolf Hitler)

Unfortunately for him, cowed sheep make bad defenders. In times when the strong would need the help of the weak, the former can no longer count on the latter.

Dictator regimes that rob the people they rule of their freedom and liberty have planted the seed for their own destruction.

    NIBIRU Award

  • Fucking favorited!

  • But for all the others who dont give a dam about history or nazi germany, They got intersted in this movie BECAUSE of these parodies. from football games to obama from cars to michael jackson, these parodies covered Thousands of topics in wich people of all interests are atrracted to seeing a clip on what hitler thinks of their topic. Each time, the viewer is being advertised of the movie "downfall" and creates curiosity in going out to Target and buying the movie.

  • @SouthUkraine You are right! These parodies are bacically free ads for their movie!

  • This is just stupid where these downfall parodies got too.. Now this guys is using his own parody to prove his point in taking them down. BUt he's contradicting himself by using THAT same video and doing what he doesnt want to be done! i love history movies & had this movie in 2004, before the first parody was up in late 07.

  • omg, omg, omg. you are fukn awesome.

  • I mean SouthUkraine. truly awesome.

  • How did you make that?

  • Constantin Films has a point: Apparently, I watch the entire movie for free and take money out of their pocket every time I watch a four minute parody of "Downfall".

  • ha ha ha ha Stallman...

  • Unfortunately, Hitler is completely right about Youtube, it has taken down videos that by no conceivable distortion of reality could be considered a violation of copyright. In fact, the whole business is simply punitive... it punishes creativity, and it even punishes publicity, as in the takedown of Susan Boyle's "Wild Horses" by Sony... are they crazy????

  • Ya know, I would have never thought to see the original movie if it weren't for all the spoofs out there. I'm smart enough to recognize parody as separate from the actual performance of the film.

  • i want the original video of this so i can make one.. plz help me

  • Buy the film. ;-)

  • Thanks for spelling "Führer" correctly. I hate people writing "Fuhrer" and say that they can't make an "ü", although they can write "Fuehrer", which would be the only correct spelling if you can't make umlauts.

5* for spelling "Führer" correctly! xD

  • Amazing!

As a YouTube little guy that only makes videos for fun, with no idea of making a profit... I have had no less than 8 videos DMCA'd . All by Warner Music Group.

This video does an amazing job of conveying the feeling one gets from being taken down by "The Man"!!!

  • This is just f*ing excellent!!!

    5 *'s

  • I would like to have my own video site, please. Youtube has gone into disarray since those bloodclots took over.

In fact, the YT staff themselves are worse than Hitler and his ill ideologies. Corporate greed and too much lobbying against comedians who only want a quick laugh or two are the reasons why America is into a sticky situation. We're just here to cheer ourselves up just as Shirley Temple entertained families 70 years ago, not piss each other off with a truckload of lawsuits!

  • @subtitlecomedy How can you blame youtube for this? Google is all about free speech. They're hounded by large companies who want videos taken down. Even if you were to make your own youtube website, you'd get into the same problems and the large companies would threaten to sue you.

  • Lol i wish you would know, what they are really saying!

    Die Amis halt wieder...

  • Meine rede

  • This is the most meta thing I have seen on the internet.

  • And that's saying something.

  • This is just awesome.

  • The irony is all these parodies make me determined to go and buy Downfall on DVD!

  • It's a good movie; if you can appreciate a human (albeit, still bad) Hitler that isn't reduced to the typical one-dimensional, cardboard cut-out "evil guy" of most WWII movies, you'll like it.

  • at around 0:46 hitler's hand is shaking, some did say that he had parkensons (spelling) disease.

  • meth.

  • I think it's more about the fear/rage he is keeping closed up inside him

  • only one of his hands is shaking. usually when people get enraged their entire body shakes with rage.

  • Hitler showed symptoms of Parkinsons and various other medical conditions.

  • The "they'd need warrants" thing cracked me up.

  • great stuff

  • You are a true Internet, Sir.

    GG.

  • funny+clever-i tip my hat to thee

  • thats a classic. nice one. 100 internets to you sir.

  • Hey, this video violates copyright. You people should all go to jails in Sweden!

  • This is genius!

  • Wow everyone this is amazing! I absolutely loved it! The video was clear and very interesting! It was awesome! :)

  • best Hittler parody video yet.

     With a message.

    So meta.

  • we are losing freedom to fast on the internet.we must fight it.

    hilarious stuff. gj

  • same goes with trollin comments like yours. if you dont have anything good to say, STFU.

  • Damn, I understand some of the speech now that I have seen so many of these parodies. Oh well.

  • the fact that you have both video and audio still intact, and the clip completely unedited except for the subtitles, they could have a case for it not being fair use. Especially since you made it clear that your parody is not of the movie itself but of their attempts to take other parodies down.

  • That still counts as fair use, while IANAL I'm sure social commentary was one of the reasons Fair Use became law.

  • Someone needs to make a parody of this. Though I fear this may cause a tear in the space time continuum.

Or just another take down notice. Youtube ARE indeed pussies.

  • AHAHHA This is so true I've been seeing this everywherw!!!

  • Brad, that's fracking brilliant: Stallman!!! I don't think I can watch that movie in public ever again without breaking out laughing.

  • Well I was going to buy the DVD of this film but after seeing this, it's almost as good as watching the actual DVD so no dice. See what you did!

  • Good point well made.

    Kudos, Sir.

  • buy or rent to see the real subtitles? it is also legal to check this film out of the library.

  • Amazing!! work done here.

    Its a piece of ART.

  • 11 stars!

  • Ahh, recursive commentary! It's like a window in a window. Brain... exploding O_o.

  • Haha excellent!

  • fantastic

  • I smiled more honestly when watching this one than any of the others.

  • Waw!!!

  • brilliant.

  • This is amazing.
