  • i sure wldn't want to miss this market nxt time we go back to korea mike! one of the things i like it there, lots of market places, shopping districts, you name it they have it...what can i say? :) thnx for sharing another grt vid! looks like an interesting place to get some herbal medicine!

  • Again another great video, that place is amazing. My one regret in all my travels is that I have never been to a single Asian country in or out of the military. I hope I can change that this year.

  • wow thats a bummer

Asia is so differnt/Korea is so differnt and unique

whenever Im in a European country Ill find some similaroty but not here

I hope you have the good fortune of finding your way out here sometime

If so , look me up

    Peace

    Michael

  • I've never been to that market. I always wanted. Thank you!

  • i really hope you can make it there

its not far and really interesting

  • amazing video as always!! thank you so much!!

you said you hadn't been there in years.. may I know how long have you been living there?^^

  • i hadnt been to that market since about 2002 or 2003

i came to Korea early 2002 and stayed till now minus 6 months :)

  • :big smile: The market looks so good. I like that it's friendly. Those women are so industrious. Reminds me of markets I've walked through. So, do the folks who sell the medicine know what herbs are good for? Or does one go with the prescription from one's doctor? Have a wonderful New Year. Thanks for the upload.

  • its nice ;) people are so warm and friwend in such a bustling place

you see the doctor and he gives u a presicriotion and a list of how to use/induce the medicine

    all very interesting ;)

  • wow, the place looks like a child's heaven there! every corner seems to hold the promise of something new that you've never seen before.

Oh this is the first 1080 video if watched ever and the detail, even at full screen, is awesome! it seems like only yesterday that you were boasting of HD (720p)! the camera salesman must really like you. haha

  • yes this is like video 8 of the 1080

i could never got back to anything else now

and yes, this is an adult kids (Like me) paradise haha

  • Another informative, well put together, awesome vid Mike!

  • thank you very much my friend

  • Great video as always Michael...just one question...what is with some people wearing face masks??

  • people wear masks if they are sick/have a cold so they dont give it to others

    or

    to keep them warm

  • @michaelarnold13 Thanks Michael...Maybe some folks here in Canada should do the same thing...we got a nasty flu bug going around right now. The temp here right now is -26c...very chilly.

  • Koreans are very considerate that way

    im from vancouver

i dont know -26 in Canada just here :)

  • i just came back from Korea yesterday. T.T i miss the marketplaces and street vendors. thanks for the video! it reminds me of the culture back there. I hope someday i can live there someday. :)

  • sounds a little sad

i hope u make it back here soon

Korea will be waiting for you :)

  • Great footage, excellent editing, and useful information. This is why I love your videos. Each one is an experience.

  • thanks my friend

i dont know why but this one was hard to edit

anyhow, its a great place, i hope to see ur video take on it

  • Nice to see these raw glimpses of Korea. Thanks again.

  • my pleasure my friend, thank you

  • I hope that one day I am able to visit Korea! Is my dream! I hope that you still there to meet and visit some places! I travel with my mind by watching your videos!

  • i hope to meet u here too

we can do a video together ;)

  • be careful with herbal oriental medicine stuffs. i heard they're bad for your liver which will have harder time clearing out the toxins from the herbs

my grandparents were really into expensive herbal subscriptions & now they're really sick with a bad liver

  • what ive seen everything is natural, i cant see how it can cause any problems

Ive had a few Oriental medicine doctors (for acupuncture, masage therapy etc) and they have said they are not sure if Asian medicine has any affect on a non Asian

Anyhow, thank you, food for thought, everything in moderation

  • I love watching your vids I learn so much. I really wanna go to those places if one day I go visit south Korea eventhough, I'm not Korean or Asian at all :).

  • haha Im not Asian either but yes all this stuff is so interesting, i love it :)

  • this is really cool :-)

  • i agree, nothing better than exploring

  • Markets like this are some of the most interesting places to visit in Korea. Your videos really are one of a kind. I love how you give people 'non-touristy' ideas on what to go see when they are in Korea :D

  • thank you very much

ive just always been facinated with things that are in the basement or back of the shop, the back alley or not on the beaten path

its gotten me in trouble before too :)

  • @michaelarnold13 I couldn't agree with you more. When I travel I always look for places far off the beaten path. It's ok to get in a little trouble now and then! Makes life a heck of a lot more interesting XD

  • true true true

live it up,who cares what they say(Occasionaly^^)
