  • btw way where I can find the sound set ?

  • This is absolutely brilliant! The bassline in part "Wily Machine 5" seems a bit off but aside from that it's incredible!

  • @Zashnog I know it's off. This was back when I was still uneasy with doing things by ear. Now I'm lot better with it. If I was to do this again now, I'd probably get the bassline right.

  • Good job man =D

  • This right here is amazing! Must've taken hours to make!

  • Pretty good. Better than anything I could have done. Like you said, it's not perfect but it's close. Good job.

  • Dam &fmt=18 is so good ^.^

  • Amazing, nice work

  • Well. I AM impressed.

You will receive your complementary Cutman shortly. lol.

  • @peepeevagi (whiney voice) I want a complementary Cutman!

  • Nearly dead on

  • Agh, the song is great, but after spending hours trying to beat this boss All this song brings is sadness...

  • Yeah, after listening to it a bunch of times, it truly does sound amazing.

One mistake though, during the last alarm, it's a bit different, and goes higher than the normal alarms.

  • wow this song musta been really hard to put together. specially by ear. but none the less it came out incredible

  • damn, if i hadden't heared the original first, I would say this was the original. good work!

  • Wily: Man I wish this was my theme other than the original.

  • i have been watching several of your videos and im realizing more and more that you put a lot of work into your songs

  • Wow, those siren alarm sounds you did sound so awesome and real.

  • EPIC WIN

  • best megaman wily song ever.

  • the lag actualyy makes it sound cooler than the original imo.

  • AWESOME. AUTOMATIC FAVORITE.

  • kick

    ass

  • lol 0:28-0:34

  • This is awesome! One of your best!

  • Impressive work! I'm adding this to my Favorites list!

  • sooo...u used a little soundfont...and what the hell is the tempo at the alarms...sheesh thats fast

  • If you are talking about the alarm sound. That the gameboy sound he puts on and make the tempo to go fast.

  • epic

  • now i need to go back to playing this game again. mr. perfect is calling my name...

awesome job. but i haven't seen any of your work that isn't. keep it up.

  • Dude, song like this can never be too fast ^^ Unless it's so fast it sounds like Dragonforce playing live.

  • yeah the &fmt=18 makes a big difference

  • My computer exploded. Too much win.

  • This is made a of 200% win and a whole bunch of epic 5* plus *favorite*

  • sounds just like your midi

  • As a purist, I find this insulting to people who actually use Mario Paint for arrangements.

As a music-lover, I find this to be a pretty decent arrangement.

  • Sheesh, don't minus this guy down so much. A

-1 is efficent. At least he was polite about it. I may disagree with him/her, but still,

    -4? That's a little harsh.

  • -5 now. And don't forget, I DID say, "as a music-lover, I find this to be A PRETTY DECENT ARRANGEMENT". I guess people don't want to hear the truth; that this isn't true to Mario Paint's limited tempo and three-notes-per-bar limitations. But once again, I STILL LIKE IT AS A SONG. Just not as a "classic" Mario Paint song.

  • Hey you're the guy on VGMusic that made the other version of this song as a MIDI. Small world! ^_^"

But yeah I totally agree with you. It's not even using proper Mario Paint sounds.

  • See now you just confused me. Aren't YOU the one who made this? XD Ah well... Like I said, as a piece of music, it's boffo! :D

And yeah, that was me. I could make (and ended up making) a perfect replica of that tune NES style with the Universal NES SoundFont...EXCEPT FOR THAT INFERNAL ALARM! Grah! D:

  • Yeah I was the one that made the second MIDI on VGMusic.

The alarm is a bit of a pain to do I'll admit :P

  • this sounds sometimes in this better than the original!

  • yeah it´s like between 8bit and 16bit... it´s a rearranged version but at the same time kepts the 8bit feeling, that´s why it´s so cool...

  • lol 12-bit.

Or maybe it's more like Genesis' sound capabilities

  • with how well you did this, I can get an idea of how it sounds. great job

  • what speed is the alarm?

  • Are the voices changed for the faces and the Yoshis in the beginning? I can tell their doing the alarm sound, but given the "giggle" sound of the face and the "mounting" SFX of the Yoshi, I can't figure out how those would combine and translate as heard here.

  • He used a soundfont to make it sound diffrent.

  • Excellent work!!!! I like it!!

  • Anyways(I know ironic), what soundset are you using?

  • Satoshi's Orchestral soundset. By that, all he does is sustain the original sounds, put effects on them and add a slight echo to give it that "live" feel.

  • great as always levus ^.^

  • LOVE the siren at the beginning. awesome game awesome song

  • Simply astounding. I...

    ...astounding. Just astounding.

  • better than original.

  • By the way, I was wondering since the alarms lagg because of the Tempo Gap... what's the tempo you used for it?

  • So coool!

  • I'm not sure why but I perfer ur other version. o_0

  • Excellent!

Love the beginning - the yoshi's sound great!

One of the best compositions I've heard yet!

    5/5 , favorited, subscribed, . . .

  • i meant the faces at the beginning

  • GREAT!!!

    Subscription added =]

  • ah it sounds so much better with &fmt=18, nice work

  • Still sounds great! Wish it could've been with just original sounds though...

  • I don't like it when you change the sounds that symbols make. I mean, I thought that was the biggest challenge with making songs on Mario Paint was that you could only use the available sounds. Maybe it's just me, but when you make it like this, your just re- making the song; the fact that it on Mario Paint doesn't matter.

  • Actually, these are all modified Mario Paint sounds. They're just changed. Like the Yoshi is a Gameboy two octaves lower and it's sustained for about 2 seconds.

  • If you're using the orchestral soundset, as in the one SatoshiLyish created; than many of the original sounds have been replaced with more instrumental sounds.

So it's not really 'modified' so to speak. You changed them into whole different instruments, which kind of defaces the purpose. I mean, I saw your 'Through the Fire and Flames' so I know you don't depend only on soundsets, but, I'm just stating, that you definitely greatly altered the sounds of the symbols.

  • Excellent! Favorited

  • Excellent work as always, Levus!

  • This is rawsome!

  • awesome..

  • Damnit, Youtube screwed up the video quality!

  • I dunno. Using orchestral soundset seems to guarantee bad quality, since YT's default setting is mono. It's much better with &fmt=18 though

  • It's mainly with Video, Audio doesn't sound that bad.

  • Cool

  • Great :)

  • What if, for the alarm part, you, doubled the speed, but decreased one. For example, 200 is wrong but so is 199. Try 399 and place the notes in half the spots. Try it, it may work.

  • WOW Awesome musical theory thing hahah

  • Awesome! 5* :D

  • super awesome! MORE MORE!

  • certain parts sound like tetris lol

  • the alarms sounds so deep. but it must be so hard to do the alarms. ( like i would know. i suck at mpc. )

  • I was working on this, but couldn't get the alarms to sound right, so I gave up.

  • This is better than what I had though.

  • This is awesome.

But the beginning kinda hurts the ears.
