3.the "professor" is praising your "prophet" for the donation, the joy in his life, the example he has set, etc, etc. However, shouldn't he be focusing on JESUS! He goes on and on about imulating Monson. But who should we seek to emulate? Who is the example we should set for ourselves? This is indicative of Mormonsism, your focus is on everything but your namesake, JESUS.
We focus on Jesus, but Monson deserved a special thanks also. He probably created earth from solar nebula (not magically out of nothing). Probably created animals using natural selection. To me (with respect) atheism is just in the mind, atheist use scientific evidence as an excuse to justify lack of belief. One person can know that God exists by experiencing spiritual experiences.

Thanks for sharing this experience. He is a good man, blessed both with wealth philanthropy. Someone said, "There is no sin in being wealthy. The sin is in dying wealthy." Even prophets have shortcomings. There was only one perfect mortal. These kinds of examples show Pres. Monson's heart, and are easily verified by anyone interested enough to look. Whether people are acceptable before our Creator, I am comfortable, should be left with that Creator. Our debates are vanity.

If one want's to know if Joseph Smith passes the prophetic test, they can look at the fruits, namely the Book of Mormon, and pray to God to know if he was indeed a prophet of God. Isn't that hard.
Also, deification of man was taught and believed by the earliest Christians and also supported in the Bible, not only in the old but in the new testament as well.

BOM(1830)..ok I have had the opportunity to read an original copy in due to a dear friend of mines position as a scholar. I was taken aback at the doctrinla changes so this ANit Mormon litrature argument is not valid unless of course if the 1830 edition is not accurate which then would represent even bigger problems for the LDS church. It' srahter easy to check Mormon sources ,BOM,D&C,etc....so again this "Anti-Mormon" argument is left wanting.
