no ink cartrages im afriad. It useds thermal paper, basically burning the image into the paper, no ink.

The plug wouldn't fit in to the SP very well because the recharge/accessory port on the SP isn't an original Game Boy link/accessory port.

After playing Pokemon a bit, and trying to print out things from the Pokedex, I was curious as to what a Game Boy Printer was. I really didn't think that it was a real item until I saw one on eBay at some point. I am thinking of buying one, and I thank you for posting this review of the printer and the Game Boy Camera!

no it dosn't use ink its thermal thats why u need special paper and also to make the picture right side up if its upside down when taking picture press select an then up and choose the icon with the up down arrows

you can still put your gameboy camera in dsi using the GBA Slot and gameboy printer by putting link cable in the bit where you plug in charger

ah yes this is essential if you want to call yourself a gameboy collector although it was sort of a short lived fad (five years) it was extremly popular for it's time and also temprarily held the record for the worlds smallest digital camera! and many kids owned this for an affordable price print paper isn't that hard to come by since many homebrewes are sold but original papaer goes for a little bit extra. this goes right next to the adorable game boy pocket as a treasure

The game boy printer uses thermal paper, like the kind receipts are printed on. It just burns the image into the paper. As for why it's not printing dark enough, I'm not sure. Are the batteries good? Some games (such as pokemon) have settings for print darkness.

Actually it uses heat to activate the ink to turn it black. It's not actually burning it.
