Check the wheels on the train to make sure they are set properly. Also, make sure the track is snapped into all of the spines. I had a couple I forgot to snap in while building mine, they are easy to miss but will slow the train down greatly, if not stop it completely.
These sets are expensive, but they are freakin awesome and worth every penny! :D

In the Uk there is a London base. If you go on the coasterdynamix website you can find the like there. I got this for Xmas and its a really good model!
I own one of these models too and I love it! It is a medium build difficulty and no you can't slow it down but it looks slower in real life than it does on the video. It's worth the 200$!!!
