I have no idea where you find such rare clips as this, but I cannot begin to thank you enough for sharing them! This, and others you've been kind enough to share, are True Treasures of Dan. Again, thank you!
Love stopping by to watch! How much fun do you think they were having??? Mike Hanna on the piano, wants me to grab the Jack Daniel's(Dan's favorite) bottle from Dan and hop on the piano.Mike reminds me, of a saloon piano player on his solo! I would be happy to be the guys "Miss Kittie" the saloon gal on this number.Hee Haw!!
Not sure where you're finding these rare gems but they're pure delight! It's so great to see Dan foot tapping and jamming on the guitar. He was one of the finest to ever play the instrument. Why he was never more widely recognized for his playing ability is beyond me. Just listen back over all those acoustic tracks--layers and layers of elegance, just sublime! Flatpicking--equally gifted. Electric guitar--the man could rock. A very gifted artist. Miss you Dan. RIP.
Oh cool! He had this written years before it went on the High Country Snows. Saw him perform this at The Mann Music Center,in Philadelphia in the summer of 85'. Still have the ticket stub and the program. Check out Joe Vitale on the drums and Mike Hanna on the piano!Very cool! Hee Haw! A great posting!
His music never ceases to lift my spirits and make me smile! Such a true and special talent!
