Love it Momo! Good advice. I've been there myself and I'm so much better off for it.

But I just want to point out to people that 2:43 is a VERY important point. By all means change your friends but stay friendly with your old ones. Just keep them at arms length so they're negativity doesn't affect you. Don't diss them or look down on them once they become acquaintances. You never know, some of them may see your progress and get up off their sorry asses too!

Thanks for the power bytes. I've put this into action in my own life and to great benefit to myself... I no longer do many things that I don't want to do or spend time with people who are a negative influence on me. I'm not saying I'm perfect now, just a lot happier. Not the easiest thing to come up with by yourself or to carry out. Just well worth it.

They don't even necessarily have to be a "bad crowd" for you to outgrow them and shift your focus away from them... they could just be apathetic and not understand your goals. You have to find people who want to grow with you.

I've had to do this with relationships before, and it was a lot better for me in the end(even right after, although there was crying and some pain)

What you're saying in this video is hitting me more on the family side, but the subject is very close in that respect. My brother doesn't influence me, but I'm tired of being around a self-involved drunk who is unemployed and inconsiderate of others in the home. He takes no accountability for his actions and he's very unwilling to change; even against the word of his family. I'm making a goal to break away from this in this year by getting my own place and finding my peace there. Thank you :-)
