I was bullied in middle school, grade 7 to 9. I failed a grade because of it. I thought that if I felt ok for the moment that it was alright. I began to cut everyday, smoke, drink, dabble in drugs, and I had no self value. I attempted suicide, and now almost 3 years after the worst 4 years of my life, I have a steady job, an amazing boyfriend, and I graduated! I'm going to go to university, but I'm waiting till I decide on what I want to take. I own my own car, and apartment too. It gets better.

High School is only 4 years if you stick to your guns and work your way through it. look at how many years you've already come through 4 years isn't so much in the long run. You can do it.

yeah high school sucks, and it wasn't until college that i really got into kerli, but metal helped me survive and now kerli and paolo nutini help me stay positive! ^__^ but mostly kerli <3

I think everyone should see this. The most effective "It Gets Better" video I've seen. Just two people, friends that happen to be artists waiting to get their big break, showing how happy they are despite their tough pasts. Completely moving and inspirational.

I haven't been able to cry in years. I will share this will all the friends I have, bullied or not, who are sad or depressed. ILU, DFTBA.
5 people are maybe thirty right now, and are working in Hardees, McDonald's, Pizza hut, you name it, and as they watch this video, they know that they bullied someone back in high school, they know that now that person is succeeding in life, and they KNOW that they are right where this video tells them they're going to be, and they're angry, but not at themselves. They are angry at the truth, and by that point, there's nothing that can help them.

I was bullied right at the start. It started in Kindergarten.
All throughout school it didn't change. I cried several times in public
due to all the bullying. Being harassed, name calling, and having everyone laugh at you,
is a terrible feeling. It continued on throughout college. Girls who I thought were my friends, turned on me, and starting talking behind my back because I was getting extensions on projects due to health reasons.
@EnchantedTower I broke down in public then too.. in front of my teacher, class mates, everyone. It only changes unless YOU make it change. Don't let bully's take over your life.

When a hyena hunts it goes after the small, weak, or sick animals of the herd because it has to and it can sense it will be easy. A hyena would never attack a powerful lion. The lion doesn't target the weak because it can kill whatever it wants to and would rather save its energy.
Like the challenge of what? Most of the bullies I have come across in life are complete cowards and have low self esteem and search for people to pick on who also have low confidence to make themselves feel better.
I don't recall ever seeing a bully pick on a tougher or more more confident person. If they don't 'gaf' as you say or like a challenge and mess with a tougher person they deserve to get their teeth smashed in for not only being a bully, but a stupid one.

when my classmates started to bully me, i had to be alone for whole year, even my 'best friend' abonded me, then later they just forgot why i was being bullied and stopped, then suddenly someone found out some other random reason to bully me. This all was just plain stupid. those reasons were very stupid. But in the 9th grade at the graduation party one of my classmates apologised..,even thought it had been such a long time since i was last bullied,i was very suprised and so thankful to hear it.

Like the challenge of what? Most of the bullies I have come across in life are complete cowards and have low self esteem and search for people to pick on who also have low confidence to make themselves feel better.
I don't recall ever seeing a bully pick on a tougher or more more confident person. If they don't 'gaf' as you say or like a challenge and mess with a tougher person they deserve to get their teeth smashed in for not only being a bully, but a stupid one.

Thank you so much! I needed to see this video because I am a 26 year old professional educator who is one of several who is bullied by their principal/boss on a daily basis and I finally took a stand for us to stop this bullying and reported it to the labor board today! THANK YOU!

i am glad my role model is spreading a word to the ones that cannot be heard. let this video go global so we can see that even the most beautiful ones get bullied as well. were all the same and we all bled the color red. yeah,i have been bullied, had a emotional break down once. it caused my tears and blood and then, i got fed up. this video also helps me remember that its darker before dawn,but if you have a light in your heart, well make morning come early. i dunno it went something like that

Just cried a bit. Since I've entered high school I've had the worst few years of my life. And the people who bully me the most are the ones I used to care about the most. When I discovered your music a few years ago, I thought of it as inspiration. Since I've become depressed and been bullied, it's beenan outlet for me to get lost in. The cliche is becoming a pop star and writing songs about your pain. I've heard this story before, stereotype comfort food. I don't think anyone is really willing to believe that there is happiness in pain, based on my own personal experience. Everyone is always looking at problems the wrong way, individually.

I was a bully! I bullied the bullies. Not much you can do against 6'4 monster who wrestled in high school. They tried to bully me because I write poems and short stories. Now I make $300'000.00 a year and only getting higher. The bullies from high school are still there, make far less and hating life. I still wish them love and happiness... Because we are here only once!

when my classmates started to bully me, i had to be alone for whole year, even my 'best friend' abonded me, then later they just forgot why i was being bullied and stopped, then suddenly someone found out some other random reason to bully me. This all was just plain stupid. those reasons were very stupid. But in the 9th grade at the graduation party one of my classmates apologised..,even thought it had been such a long time since i was last bullied,i was very suprised and so thankful to hear it.

I was bullied through my school years,and I was alone almost all the time. ive been beat up and hurt and scarred by all the people from my school, emmotionally and physically, and i keep hearing it will get better......but it hasn't.....ive tried to kill myself over 5 times but it failed every time......i havent been loved enough buy this world enough to keep living but this video inspires me alot :) i havent smiled like this in a while.....and i will try to keep living just because this video inspires me thank you, thank you so much
