@U2006com From what heard, Bono lowers their arms because he often signals to the band that way. If people come on stage and start waving their arms around, it could throw the band off. As for another comment here, I very much doubt she was a plant. Bono often picks people at random out of the audience. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn't. If they were all plants, it would be flawless 100% of the time.
