Please remember this clip was from our first hour of trying these techniques. And honestly there is not a great deal of accurate technique in it. Namely: under/over extending movement and feet placement.
I don't have a 200lb (90Kg) bag, but also I don't think these open hand "Slaps" are meant to be applied to full contact sparring.
Well, In my opinion, taking someone out with one of these strikes would be more than achievable, But the criteria for doing so would be excellent technique from the feet to the hand, and optimum placement to someones head. And obviously the head is no where near 200lb (90Kg) and has a lot less resistance than the body.
It's hard to see the difference in the above clip between a straight hit and a wave hit, but I assure you, there is a massive difference.
cool, definatley on the right track guys. releaxed power is very underestimated, good work, now develop that power and movement for every part of your body! may wanna checkout Yang Mian System or the alternate name of invisible master system for similar knowledge..... enjoy.....good to see fellow aussies practicing real shit!

These are the introduction exercises into waveform movement.
The posibility of using them on lighter parts of the body (Head/arms) still might exist in full contact scenarios but I'm only speculating.
I'm sure there are plenty more video posters that could give you more profound reasoning.

That's reasonable. But I didn't mean sparring, I meant taking someone out.
Thanks for the reply.

Can you demonstrate these strikes on a 200lb heavy bag for us?

What's the effect on the elbow when this is done against a 200 lb body?

Sink your hips, don't bend from them.
