Boy was he wrong. BSU not only went to the Fiesta Bowl, but they beat OU in one of the most exciting games I've ever watched. It seems to me that the Fiesta bowl also came out a winner that night. Kirk's BCS bias does show through from time to time--same thing with Mark May and Craig James. I just love it when teams like BSU and Utah prove them wrong.

He is wrong. In the first came were a smaller conference school played in a BCS Bowl Utah beat Pittsburgh. Then, Boise State beat Oklahoma in an epic battle. And this year (2008-2009 season) Alabama was just rocked by Utah again. You can't say this new system fails when the smaller-conference schools have won 3 out of the 4 games they have been allowed to play in.
