I remember the Canucks in the 70's. Their losing streak. Often being last or second last in the league (along with the god awful jerseys:). I was just a little girl but the names my dad would shout out and talk about stay with me, particularly Harold Snepsts. I'd be in my goofy sleeper, dozing by the fire and my dad would erupt with this guys name. My pic-a-pop spilling everywhere.
snepsts got PWNED by lemieux :D he was tough though... actually got in a couple punches on him... guys that fought jocelyn rarely got the chance to get in some bombs
I loved watching Snepsts and Lee Norwood together in Detroit. They were nicknamed Hack and Slash. If you dared going near the net when they were out on the ice you paid for it in pain.
HAHAHA!!! I remember Snepsts *laughing* at people as he pummeled them in Detroit! Norwood was not as "nice" off the ice as Harold was-he was an average joe. There are some videos of it on Youtube too...funny as HELL to watch him swing!!
Thanks for uploading. I remember when Harold was in Detroit where they had a fan club for him. The NHL is now devoid of the rugged individuality and appeal of Harold's type because it listened to the tree huggers who wanted everyone in helmets. This is one major reason why NHL hockey is not the fun and happy thing it was back even in the 1980s.

We still love Big Harold in Detroit. I saw him bruise a lot of teams when Detroit was losing. It made it worth going to the games.

couldn't agree more. I don't even recognize the game anymore :/
I haven't been able to sit through an entire game in almost a decade.
