  • when I fart I blame it on a barking spider :)

  • @ateras360 yes, we all enjoy smosh's videos. fag

  • i couldn't hear anything.... -_-

  • FUCKING GOOSEBUMPS DAMMIT

  • I can't believe 17 people actually thought a spider could bark.. How stupid could you possibly be?

  • @Tord176 it can well it kind of hisses, but it can kill a dog in 30 minutes.

  • It looks like it's crawled straight from the depths of hell.

  • Cat got its tongue?? :-D

  • stab it, that'll make the fucker bark

  • @malmstrethai HURF DURF KILL ANIMALS FOR BEING OF A SPECIES I DON'T LIKE

  • Well, the term, "barking spider" is used usually when someone farts. Then they say that line. But spiders don't bark. Lol that'd be funny if they did though.

  • gave it a thumbs down because it didn't bark....

  • Maybe I'm racist or something, but this spider looks much less threatening/dangerous than its black counterpart.

  • If someone provoke that tarantula you can hear the hissing noise like barking

    Looks like a Selenocosmia crassipes

  • Cute!

  • How many of the world's most venomous animals? Snakes, Spiders, Jellyfish,Octopi, Great White Sharks, Salt water Crocs... Did I leave anything out? Oh yeah, Stonefish and Lionfish! Tell me again why ANY one in their right mind wants to go to Australia? Nice folks, the Aussies, but I'm not setting foot in THAT country! Oh, wait! I forgot those damned cute(and highly venomous) Platypi!

  • @oneloneogre what the fuck is a platypi?

  • im i the only one who thought it was actually gunna bark?

  • Why didn't bark?

  • My boyfriend's father always says, "OH, it's them African Barkin Spidahs!" when someone farts and thought he made up the term. Now we know it's actually "Australian" and he's not Too original, but it's still pretty hilarious. :D

  • yum :D

  • k, my whistling spider wont barrow... hes got a good 5 inches of dry but soft dirt... do i need some other sort of ground for him ? or will he need a log or something... at the pet shop they didnt have him in mutch dirt... and he had a wooden toilet roll for a home... maybe hes not used to barrowing ? right now hes in the corner of the tank... not curled up and looking sick but hes like half climbed up just sitting there... hes not tiny... but hes not huge like the size of a hand or something

  • @MasterJames10101 mine is female n she dont burrow either instead i put a big terracotta pot in ther for her n she goes in ther to shed n beat the heat n does the same thing ur spider does and goes in the corner of her tank if u want it to build a burrow u may to place somethin like half a log and build the dirt up around it with a small opening so he can dig thru it

  • @freakyfish02 yeah well, my spider now makes huge web caves for herself... and ive tried making her a hole and giving her a cool fake tree root thing to live in, but she just makes these caves from webs with like a slit in there.. i really hope eventually shell be a bit happier and make a hole...

  • @MasterJames10101 as long as it feeds i dont really think the burrowin matters much but if it is really worryin u maybe finding a spider expert might help

  • I had to put my hair up while watching this video. :S

  • Arachno-flatule-phobia. The fear of barking spiders.

  • its a tranchla

  • dammmm

  • I love our spiders! This female is very smart

  • bark bark

  • does it actually bark? ruff ruff?

  • @KickShove Its name comes from the ability of this spider to produce a hissing noise when provoked, a trait it shares with nearly all Australian tarantulas (from Wikipedia)

  • @chiefstinky in fact ALL tarantulas are capable of hissing (warning sound they make to not approachlike the rattle of a rattle snake)

  • @chiefstinky

I didn't realise all Australian tarantulas came from Wikipedia?

  • @joecool641 Lmao!

  • yep, central Australia

  • @chiefstinky i thought mars

  • @Rereversed hahahah surface of mars

  • i thought the Goliath Bird Eating Spider and the Whistling Spider were two different species?

  • that's like the scariest shit i have ever seen,

    i HATE spiders.

  • what is the red stuff moon sand?

  • Nope, the red dirt of the outback. Near 16 mile Creek outside Alice Springs

  • I just know your not refering to another name for passing gas.

  • Australian tarantulas are so cool, I have to buy one. I hope one Australian T's become more popular in the hobby.

  • If you click my vids you'll see my pet barker making some noise but turn the volume up:)

  • bark bark

man that would be so cool haha

  • I wish you had thrown something down and got it in frame (shoe, rock hammer, coin, etc.) to use as a scale. I have no clue how big this thing is just from watching the video.

  • It was about 3-4 inches in length, including legs. Not superhuge, but a good size

  • These spiders are highly venomous, and can cause horrible symptoms, but their venom is not strong enough to be lethal.

  • Near 16 mile creek outside Alice Springs was where I found it.

  • I have a question why are they called barking spiders ?

  • They are called barking spiders because of the barking/hissing noise they make when they feel threatened.

  • Oh okay, I didn't know they could make such sounds. It would be real cool if you had a video of one making noise

  • aww it's not barking. whatever, i named it skippy!

  • Nice spider. Where was it that you found it?

  • man i was waiting for it to bark :]

  • haha yeah, I was only looking for this to hear it bark

  • @Shibby5404 EXACTLY! same here

  • @Shibby5404 I have been looking for videos here on Youtube about that but found nothing! Just fakes (Which i ofcourse voted down!) Another one was overdubbed with music (Ironically guitar, a musical instrument I hate from the bottom of my soul) If anyone knows anything about noise making spiders please drop a mail! I love the music of Nature!

  • @Shibby5404 its silly calling them whistling or barking spiders when they just hiss.

its like calling a hissing cockroach a meowing cockroach lol

  • yeh i have a Selenotypus tarantula and when its digging it makes a noise liek a mouse squeak sounds weird as!!

  • thats a beutifull spec. of a barking spider, good work man!
