Balaw is not a tagalog dish ... they are very much from Bicolandia region. If you go around the local market in Bicol, they are everywhere ... "balao" is not tagalog dish.

What I miss so much in Bicol is the gulay na santol with balao. So as the 'alawihao" or alawihaw wild fruits. The sinarapan fish, the smallest fish in the world ... makikita mo lamang sa Lake Buhi. Then the "guyo" pickles ... there are many dishes that exist from Bicol ... na hindi alam kahit na ang ibang pilipino.

Pulutan is a snack you pair up with a beer... you eat that while drinking and singing in a KTV XD Merienda is the right word. But i think ice cream in a bun isnt merienda.
