  • I like the Inspiron one 23 better.

  • I'm curious how people search for the "one" till the point of purchase. I bought my mac because I liked using it, I still do. I used it before at school's lab and decided to buy it. Since then, I alway use mac and never return to PC. How about you?

  • thanks for the 411 Am planing to get a new computer on black friday am looking for an all in one pc. Though I need a energy saving star computer these days you can save lots.

  • thanks for the 411 Am planing to get a new computer on black friday am looking for an all in one pc.

  • I have had one for three years now but it's my dads...I use macs now...powermac g4 dual 1.25 ghz and a soon to be 2.66ghz core 2 duo MacBook pro

  • is this a preety good well working computer.since it doesn't hav the tower??

  • try upgrading your cpu or gpu in most laptops..... it is not competing with desktops. video audio network keyboard mouse, one wire and it can also be a tv. It is not what alot of pc users consider when they buy, but it has awesome uses and competes favorably to any imac piece of shit. apple is for close-minded people who like to be told what software they can run. those i'm a mac and i'm a pc ads are perfectly inverse in terms of their representation of pcs and macs.

  • What all of these nitpickers dont understand is that the convenience and size requirements of this PC are nice. As someone who fixes upgrades and sells custom systems to people, I have learned, against my tastes and instincts that this system has awesome niche uses. When this was sold, you could buy it and set it up in a kitchen with only a power cord. You could run a powerful desktop system and have much better performance than a laptop with a fixed keyboard. upgrade ram and HDD with no prob

  • i currently own this and its okay but im getting a new desktop but im wondering if i could use this as a monitor??

  • @NeXTVCommanderPro

    I wouldn't really see how.

  • @NeXTVCommanderPro

yeah I don't think you could, honestly I have it and I just think it's a little to loud. think it's my processor :/

  • Is anyone really so space limited that this is necessary? If so, why not get a lap top? These all in one units severely limit your ability to upgrade. Why bother?

  • A 19" laptop with this much performance would actually cost more.

Wireless keyboard can be handy, detached from unit unlike a laptop.

    Personal preference

  • With all due respect, FreeCompConsultant, I understand the efficienct use of space units like this provide, but when a laptop can also accept a wireless keyboard, I just don't see the logic in this. What if you'd like to add a second optical drive? You'd have to have an external. Can you upgrade the RAM? What if you'd like to upgrade your video card later? These all in one units seem to be a limited use, one trick pony to me.

  • I have clients that use these for their customers. The unit is mounted on a wall, the keyboard moves freely about 4 feet away. A laptop simply would not work.

A laptop with a screen this big would cost more.

It all depends on the application.

For you, it obviously is a bad choice, so don't buy one.

For certain others, it makes perfect sense. Not everyone uses their PC exactly the way you do.

  • I understand that certain applications call for varying equipment. You've made a great point there, FreeCompConsultant. The unit you are featuring costs $1600 with just 2GB RAM and a 250GB HDD. For that much money, you can easily get a laptop with more RAM, more HDD space AND an external monitor up to 24" - 30". So, forgive me, because I think I see where you're coming from, but again, how would anyone justify the cost of this all in one when you can achieve much more for much less?

  • IF IT FITS THE APPLICATION BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE, THEN IT IS WORTH THE COST!!

Look at when this video was uploaded. This video was uploaded 2 years ago. Prices have changed since then, right?

This particular unit is not even available for sale anymore, so debating current cost / features with a 2 year old PC that isn't for sale anymore is rather ridiculous.

  • I didn't mean to offend you, FreeCompConsultant.

As far as I know, inflation during the last two years has desktops VS. notebooks. VS. All In Ones priced similarly in relation to eachother.

I submit to your logic that where a particular application is ideal, it could very well be worth the cost to those who seek such features. No arguement there. Again, I didn't mean to insult, or offend you. Thank you, Sir, for your time.

  • @80sDream hes right :(

  • Just try upgrading disc drives, video cards, processors, RAM, etc. Good luck. This is a convenient device, but no, thanks. I don't like being stuck with stock.

  • guys can someone help me what plugs does a all in pc use because i dont know what plugs i am going to need for one of these!!!!!!!

    please help

    thanks

  • i have one of these, but mines red in the back. so far, i have had a great time with mine. everything is amazing. but the only trouble i came into was when i had to plug in a vga cable, but sadly, this one doesn't have a vga port, i had to buy an adapter for it, witch was a waist of money

  • wow that is a very nice machine--

can u upgrade things in it??

  • Pretty neat. I have an iMac (I decided I'd rather use Win 7 on it though), and really like all-in-one designs.

    How accessible are the internals?

  • I WANT ONE ...

  • its a laptop

  • No, not a laptop.

  • wow my asus laptop cost me 732 dollars, 4gb of ram, 500gb hardrive, intel core 2 processor. Dell used to make good computers back in the day. But now their's are rated shit!

  • I haven't seen that rating anywhere.

The one's I buy from Dell are fantastic. Some are 8 years old and still going strong.

No matter who you buy from, you have to buy "right". Details on my website/blog

  • I like it better than the iMac! It looks more sleek!

  • I screwed up when I got mine wished I got a tower instead so I can upgrade you upgrade this one that sucks.

  • can you replace all in one's processor, ram, video card, and power supply?

  • All I would suspect is a RAM upgrade might be possible. As for the rest, forget about it.

  • Dont buy this computer I bought it Sept 10th and within 25 days started giving me problems! I am passed my 21 days wont refund me my money wont send me replacement. Keeps crashing no I dont have any viruses. I have been on the phone with dell 4-6 hours a day trying to resolve the problem they are going to send technician out now. Lets see if that works. I am so stressed I have a business need computer lost lots of time and money since!!! Plis the 2 thousand I spent on this system!

  • Apply more pressure to get a technician out sooner. You don't have to spend that much time with them.

If it isn't fixed, call them again and get a technician again. There is a lemon clause if they cannot fix it, and they should get you a different unit if that is the case.

Normally it is a very nice PC

  • Thanks for the advice. Today I talked to them 19th time nd they finally agreed to send someone out. I wonder why they were trying to avoid it. The tech is going to replace hard drive and mother board or so they said. I have to wait for tech to call me and set up time and date. I hope that doesnt take long. I need to work on payroll and accounting for my home business. I literally want to cry this has been hell.

  • Make sure you back up any data first before tech replaces hard drive.

  • They are finally sending me a new computer. They said with 10 to 15 days I should be receiving it. So I am waiting. I hope I have a better experience

  • i have a dell xps one which dont read copied discs only real disc any 1 any hellp need advice pleassse :(

  • If it's still in Warranty you could call Dell, but have you tried a CD cleaner?

  • ill stick with my iMac

  • hahaha u little crap fuk u

  • no one cares douche

  • yea this computer does get very hot after a bit its still good though

  • your voice sound like kipkay.

  • This PC gets VERY HOT over 90 degrees. I can not see it last for many years to come with such high temperatures. No one talks about it but try to have your pc on for more than 2 hours, then place your hand on it and you'll see.

  • in that case i don't want it. i'm usually on my computer all day. i can't have the processor overheat while i am uploading a youtube video or playing a game.

  • I have never heard that before. We have one we leave on 24/7/365, never had any problems in over a year

  • you have a good fan in your computer. my laptop's fan lets it get hot after 30 minutes :( so i got an external fan and it helps a little, not alot. :( oh and im on a gateway nv52. the fan in that laptop isn't all that great. other than that the laptop is great!

  • i have had this a week and i havn't turned it off yet since i got it and its nice and cool. never got hot. i don't even use a cooler. ur lieing it doesn't get hot

  • Nice video. Terrible machine. Worse support!

  • this is essentially a laptop: Dell takes a system board from (one would hope) one of their best laptops, a 2.5" laptop drive (a full size 3.5 drive is unlikely to fit in there), a nice widescreen flat panel and packages it all in a sleek enclosure behind the flat panel and you've got an "All-in-One" like this one

the upright mounting optimizes airflow allowing them to keep the noise level down, too ... I rather like the packaging idea and execution, with often-used ports right on the side

  • Dell has done their homework i see

  • can it be hooked up to a ps3 on hdmi??

  • Is this pc shipping to europe?

  • no hard drives :(

  • What do you mean?

  • built-in drives ~ any?

  • Absolutely. It's a complete PC, runs Windows Vista. Great Performance

  • hard drives too ~ what size ?

  • i have a ps3 for bul-ray, and even better all 3 consoles for games.I think Macs are better because its "harder to get viruses and even better, you can insall xp and vista on it. Same that comes with the all in one

  • Buy a Mac? They suck... The only reason people buy Macs is because they think they are better than everyone else... They charge double the price when dell and hp are way better.

  • thing is average, buy a mac

  • A lot of people don't have the extra $800 that a Mac costs over the price of the Dell.

  • macs r shit windows it better cant play games etc etc

  • I heard that the GPU wasn't so great, but as I'm not educated in the field of computers n technology, is it too bad? As in, if I wanted to play a game of Alice (3D) orrrr a WoW, will it be all choppy-unbearable, choppy, or ok? :/

  • play wel wow isnt demanding at all

  • You will be able to run WoW on the best settings without lag.

  • You will be able to play WoW on all settings Ultra with 60 FPS.

  • I bought a Dell XPS One and i love it. its very quiet

  • Not when you play games its not quiet and it gets hot. The jbl speakers dont work very well and the system crashes all the time! So thats good you love yours I hate mine!

  • does it come with wifi

  • "It also comes with built in wireless." The guy from the video.

  • I like mine alot, look at my review! i bought a external dvi box and bought a dvi splitter and incorporated 2 17 inch monitors along with the XPS!

  • short question and hopefully a short answere as well. is the pc quiet? buzz it?

  • Yes, nice and quiet. No complaints at all.

  • does anyone notice how in the description it says freecomputercons for the link

  • i love my imac

  • Everybody loves iMac's. Just not everyone can afford one.

  • imacs suck they dont even have discrete graphics anymore for 1,200? com e on this thing has blu ray and wireless kb and mouse

  • Love this, but why are all the ports located in the center of the back panel? There's no place harder to reach!!

My Imac is already a pain with its ports located on the right of the back panel.

  • Good job Dell, what original!! I never seen that bef4

    LOLOLOL

    iMac its just beter

  • I love how he pauses at 2:13 until 2:18, great review tho, i wish i had one

  • are you bill gates?????

  • @middleidentity Bill gates with that crappy product? his toilet in his half bath probably has more power then this.

  • i got one, its so good, looks good, runs good. Did this have the 256mb graphic card? because the one i have was only available for a short time only and runs games better then the hd bla bla graphic card.

  • 1 question: is there a disk drive? srry i might have not caught it in ur video

  • What kind of disk drive? Floppy - no. Although you can attach a USB floppy.

DVD drive and hard drive present.

  • ok thanks for helping me out, im on vacation at another house and my parents called me and said there was a dell XPS One on my desk.

  • i got this from christmas!

  • Hope you like it!

  • hahaha what a copy of the iMac. But uglier...what happened? did the designer break his pencil?

  • @EvilPinkBunnyRabbits apple didnt invent the all in one PC so get off ya high horse

  • his voice is quite familiar......i think he is Bill gates!

  • This computer is awesome for your Day to Day stuff....... Internet, email, it's good for gaming but not all the Games for that you will need a Gaming PC

  • can this be used as a gaming computer

  • Certainly, yes. Is it the ULTIMATE gaming computer?, no. But it does have some pretty good performance.

  • I'm jealous. I have a friend hoping to buy one of the HP touch's soon, but he hasn't yet.

If I was rich, I'd buy one...

  • hp touch smart is more fun, faster and better in every way except for the blue ray :-)

  • Have you been able to try both?

  • yes i have

  • i have a 22" dell xps one but the screen cracked and wont turn on but the comp itself still works is there anywere i can get a new screen ive checked ebay but no luck so far

  • Did you call Dell to see if it's under warranty?

I am a big fan of CompleteCare..no matter what happens to it, they'll fix or replace it.

  • no i called and my warrenty doesnt cover physical damage i also asked them if they sold the screens lol... they dont haha

  • VAIO® LT Series PC/TV All-in-One is better and cheaper and includes blue ray. with 22" widescreen display, wall-mountable, wireless keyboard and mouse Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5550 (1.83 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium and 3GB memory, 320GB storage capacity. sony's is better. 22" is starting at $1,300

  • Sony's service isn't the same as Dell's, and VAIO has a jaded history with me.

I would recommend potential buyers checkout several brands and compare apples to apples with what's currently available. This review was done several months ago and Dell has updated their offering too.

  • The xps has a way better keyboard though.

  • the vaio all in ones are awesome their way cooler looking than imacs im just waiting for a year maybe or sooner idk its not beefed up enough for what id use it for so ill wait till it is

  • omg thats need to be a joke. it´s cost more then a imac.

and who what does stupid touch control when it´s easyer to push on the keyboard

  • Why is it that so many iMac lovers are watching this video?

Personally, I think you would be hard pressed to get an iMac of equal power and function for less money. I have priced Mac's - they ain't cheap.

  • is it slower than a traditional pc with a tower?if it is slower, its not for me cuz slow computers piss me off,and id hate to throw down 2 grand for a piece of shit that will drive me to chain smokin-and im not hatein on dell and im not a iMac lover cuz im sitten in front of a dell right now

  • It's pretty quick.

  • This is faster.

  • What does a kensington lock do?

  • It's a security device to help prevent theft

  • dll too expencive u can get a compter for like 600 buck and it will still be better dell takes too much credit sure looks kool though

  • Why is there only 2 gigs of ram capacity on this? That's extremely average and not ahead of its time. Im a bit of a power user so its disappointing.

  • Probably not the best choice for a power user. Does what it's designed to do pretty well, but not really for a gamer or power user.

  • yes,

getting the warranty to cover a call out by a technician is compulsory. but the bad thing about that, is that it costs extra. especially when the warranty runs out.

i had an xps600 ( my missus uses it now ), i built my own after 6 mths of owning it as i couldnt upgrade to a core2/quad processor when they came out. thats the bad thing about dell, your stuck with pretty much what they give you, and in this pc pretty much nothing is upgradable.

looking forward to more great vids :)

  • great vid,

but this xps is a massive waste of money.

the gpu is dire and i doubt it would even play any medium spec game. the fps count would be in single digits.

having said that, the pc is nice to look at and well designed, but what if anything goes wrong? the whole unit will need to be shipped out.

building your own pc is still the way forward, and a hell of alot cheaper.

plus you will have a far more powerfull pc than what dell can give you.

kudos on the vid tho, was well done.

  • Thanks for the response.

With this unit, target customer is the key. College students probably want a laptop, not this.

Retirees with a condo LOVE THIS UNIT.

Many in between find it a good fit also.

Gamers are likely going to benefit from building their own, just as you have said.

As for shipping it out, forget it. Make sure you get the warranty plan where Dell comes to you!

    Thanks for commenting.

  • i love this computer, its amazing.

i just want the screen more bigger.

    :]]

  • It would be a nice small HTPC

  • Nothing can beat the iMac

  • I understand your love for the iMac, but how much does this much power cost in an iMac?

  • can you do more reviews on this machine; handling applications and stuff, movie playback, using the remote, keyboard and mouse (i've heard a lot of customers given bad reviews on the keyboard and mouse saying that it doesnt work correctly and that they had to purchase another keyboard and mouse from another manufacturer to eliminate the problem.

  • I will if I get time.

So far we have had no issues, works like a dream.

  • have you done any gaming? i am thinking about this computer but im not sure because i do a lot of racing sims and that could really be the only downer

  • I don't do any gaming but this should be a pretty good gaming unit.

  • that is a really cool dell
