There is a decline is fish stocks so people have taken to eating shark. It's processed into SURIMI then colored and flavored into crab sticks, fish balls, lobster etc. Large shark is full of mercury - best to avoid it.

Most countries now prevent shark barrels being wasted at sea. The main target is tuna and marlin but when a shark takes the bait and drowns - why waste it? Ant shark fin stories are mostly inaccurate and ask for donations. More fish in the sea is the real answer - but how?

As there is no way to control this, because they always break international laws, it should be forbidden.
