  • Everybody saying micheal's dad was a pedo when he wasn't. micheal made that up to get his dad out the crib. he manipulated chris.

  • @BigBukz

Then why does Bunk confirm it twice in season 5, episode 7 ?

  • What do you mean "tragic" deaths? Do you mean like violent death? Tragic death to me means people you really liked/felt sorry for. I didn't feel sorry or bad that Michael's step dad was killed. But the rest were pretty sad, Omar, Bodie, D'Angelo, Wallace.

  • Wait the first dude constitutes a tragic death? That nigga was a pedophile smh. That's why Michael had him killed.

  • what bout snoops death?? but wallace and bodie for sure were very dramatic

  • omar!

    he's the man.

  • Damn I wish bodie woulda lived

  • RIP Stringer bodie n omar

  • It only took until the first entry on this list for me to have a problem. You consider the death of Michael's stepfather tragic? The dude molested Michael. He deserves whatever he gets

  • Wallace death was the most tragic

  • Wallace was most tragic for me. So sad.

  • Snoop died with dignity and didn't plead for her life.

  • How is the death of a child molester in any way tragic.

  • @FrigidDeath

Think it's more the way he went out, not even a dog deserves a death like that.. hence why even Snoop cringed when she looked at the savagery of the beating.

  • @FrigidDeath I know right? smh

  • I thought Snoops death was more tragic then the stepfathers. Any way I hate seeing Bodie and Stringer get gotten. D's and Wallace hurt too. Omar's death suck because he got gotten by a fucking little kid.

  • Why was the 1st one tragic ? He was a child molester. The only tragic part of that scene was Chris got caught by doing it.

  • What about William Gant?

  • STRINGER should not be on this list

  • @PieandBiscuits right? he was the biggest bitch on the show (cept maybe for cheese) i never really considered wallace one cuz he had a good heart

  • @KnightsSportsLeader Yeah Wallace and D'angelo are my two favorite characters because they wanted to get out, they were smart. The thing about the wire is that everyone is pretty much likable, I even liked stringer for awhile..

  • So umm...any plans on a remastered version of this? The quality is pretty horrendous.

  • @XSilvenX No. I can make this same video with only text in HD, if you like.

  • I think Wallace was the only one that was "tragic." Everybody else was knowingly involved in the drug trade, Wallace was just a kid trying to do the right thing.

  • OMG the chokin one reminds mii of my friend we was in the basement and all of a sudden his best friend strangled him OMG that really got to mii R.I.P T.R and i hope ole boy stay in jail mne

  • My nigga bodie went out like a g.

  • Last clip: Bodie says He is a Pawn to McNulty. He attacks only diagonally like pawns do! Then Michael attacks like a Knight in the end... That's some awesome writing.

  • @LustX never thought about that. nice intake. wasn't michael tho it was O-Dog. simple mistake nonetheless.

  • I didn't like the way omar died. It seemed a bit too unimaginitive.

  • How the hell Bodie didn't see O-dog coming?

  • @TiminSE he was just about to turn his head towards odog and the odog poped him smfh worst scene i ever saw in my life

  • Bodie's death hurt. Ill never forget it. I was sad the rest of the night. LOL. Prop Joe's death fucked me up too. The seen was so cold and eerie feeling. Best series of all time

  • 4:38 LOL

  • Thumps up for the guy witht he bowtie

  • The hardest one for me to watch was Wallace .. I cnt even re watch it . The kid had so much heart. I also couldn't watch Butchie and Bodie had me in tears too.. And the brutal beating I cldnt watch either .. tht one got me seeing the blood anfd stuff. Even snoop was like wooaahh

  • @queenieimpossible For me it's harder to watch the investigation scene of D'Angelo after Wallace's death.. "Wallace said he out the game.. we even laughed about him returning to school, being 16 n all".."I want what Wallace wanted. Start anew" "I wanna breathe like normal folk". and the jail scene "Where Wallace at? String! look at me! Where's Wallace?!" F***ed up shit. :(

  • @ttarkus yeah . i wish d'angelo put more effort into helping wallace , stringer was wicked. i hated seeing dangelo drop if he was going to roll back on them he wouldve done it from time. all Dee wanted was to be isolated from them so he tried to shut them out but stringer took that for weakness smh

  • Seriously wtf Devar doing on this list? He is one of the few characters that invokes no sense of sympathy. I mean, the man molested his son. At least with Bodie, you hate him for killing Wallace but you gain a certain level of empathy for him as you see just how messed up his world is and how society consistently fails people in vulnerable positions like his and the other corner boys.

Putting Devar in a list of tragic deaths is as nonsensical as putting in Marlo had he died.

  • its a damn shame how omar dies he was my favorite character

  • ahh its too bad they offed that polack sabotka, guy was classic.

  • this is one of the worst beating i ever seen on film got damn

  • Yo that chinese lady was so fucking annoyin. All i heard wass "OOHHHH MATAGAHHHHH OHHHH DONT SHOOT DONT SHOOT, OHHHHHH MAGITIGAHHHHHHGATMAHHHHH, OHHHHHHHHHH

  • #10 even snoop is like damn thats too much! lol

  • It's funny how the show was able to turn the negative opinion of Bodie for killing Wallace towards liking him before he died. That was one of the most heartbreaking deaths in the whole show. By the end he was the only true original soldier left.

  • "WHERE'S WALLACE?!?! Yo String, where's Wallace?!?!"

  • SWITCH THAT UP PUT BODIE AS LIKE AT 10th AND PUT WALLACE AT 1.

  • Most tragic

    1. Wallace - if only he'd stayed home. So heartbreaking.

    2. Sobotka - All because of his stupid son

    3. D'Angelo- he was a good person and just wanted to get out. Fuck you Stringer.

    4. Bodie- This one made me the saddest. But atleast he went out like a soldier and wouldn't let them run him off his corner to those vacant houses!

    5. Omar- He gets taken out by a little punk so abruptly.

I hated seeing Proposition Joe go too and Butchie's was hard to watch. I'm glad you ranked him.

  • its michael

  • the Wallace death was the craziest !!

  • Comment removed

  • D'Angelo and Wallace are by far the two most tragic -- Sabotka's death is tragic too. Stringer? He was a sociopathic monster who got what was coming. Not tragic at all.

  • I have never seen this show, and I can honestly saw from watching this video, this show scares the crap outta me. I shall go back to Grey's Anatomy now.

  • @Danton1990 lmao

  • It was michael who kills Bodie , Marlo orders it, and michael eventually takes the spot over and runs it himself . 100%

  • @SuperMatttyD It's O-Dog

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperMatttyD Its O-Dog who kills Bodie.

  • @SuperMatttyD Yeah It's O-Dog, I made the same mistake at first.

  • @SuperMatttyD no it wasnt!

  • @SuperMatttyD And your 100% Wrong

  • @SuperMatttyD wasnt micheal..it was that skinny bigfaced dude...with the big mouth

  • @SuperMatttyD michael was supposed to kill bodie then chris told marlo his first kill should be someone he doesn't know. it wasn't michael, it was some other kid.

  • i just dont understand this show i am a 21 year old woman no kids but why did chris beat up that old man like that thats wrong and homeboy in the background just lookin this is like my second time lookin at this show! and ttarkus thanx 4 postin!

  • @TheBabygirlcrystal Chris beat that man up because he was a child molester, and chris new the kid he had molested. Chris himself had been molested by his father, so it was personal.

  • @Futuregohan14 where did you see that his dad molested Chris? I was wondering

  • @CoverGirl084 It is implied in a few episodes, and on some of the online bios of chris that you see.

  • wasit micheal who took out bodie?

  • @bigballsbiggerdick No, it was O-Dog. Marlo's guy, just a little character in the show. I also thought first "Was that Michael??" but later read it was O.

  • @ttarkus k cuz all you see is his bone structure and it looks like that of micheal. but o-dog when was we mentioned?

  • @bigballsbiggerdick 1: Marlo gives the order to Chris "Use your pup, get him started", but Chris balks "Nah, Michael worked for Bodie, it'd be better if it was someone he ain't know"

2: Chris tells Michael " You look 'em in the eye. No matter who he is or what he's done, you look him right in the eye"

indicates that it wasn't Michael, the killer didn't even have eye-contact with B. But excluding Michael, the killer couldve been anyone. Many sites just state it was O-Dog.

  • @bigballsbiggerdick and you maybe could see it's not Michael's face but not from this video (poor quality). Chris also trained O to shoot so he was capable of this killing.

  • @bigballsbiggerdick no Michael did not kill bodie.

  • @IceeThirdd yeah the guy with the snappy attitude was right it was o-dog ;)

  • @bigballsbiggerdick nope. marlo suggested that michael do bodie - but then chris said for his first time "maybe it not be somebody that he know." so it was O dog.

  • to me d'Angelo was the most tragic. then wallace. then butchie. then frank man, D'angelo was so great!

  • overkill

  • loved bodie as #1. over the course of four seasons, we grew from thinking he was a piece of shit hopper with no redeeming qualities to thinking he was a genuine human being (with no redeeming qualities). he died the same way his brother probably did. and the same way preston braodus carried his brother, bodie will probably be carried by the true survivor of the series, malik 'poot' carr.

  • @thatguydbell Yeah. On the first season I hated him for what he did to Wallace But from 2nd Season the character just developed so much to the fourth, my favourite along with Omar. Bodie's death was a big setback. Can we see one of the most liked characters thru the whole series in any other show dying so coldly without bigger aftermaths? Nothing comes to my mind except a few from Sopranos. Thats The Wire, realism.watching Prison Break for example something like that isnt possible

  • I woulda tried to jump thru that big glass window behind him if I was stringer...

  • Comment removed

  • I think someone has confused the words tragic and graphic. Most of these deaths were graphic, not necessarily tragic.

  • @unclefreddie70 I know what tragic means. This is "the most tragic" which means they're necessarily not very tragic at all, but just which are closest. Imo most of them are but dunno 'bout you.

  • It was sad when poot and bodie killed wallace : (

  • i rem how upset i was @ how omar went out! after all the things he did on the show, a kid? really? but maybe that was mr simon way of showing change of times....

  • Butchie was sad, even saw a shred of remorse from Chris when is happened.

  • the word you're looking for is brutal, not tragic

  • Bodie's and D'Angelo's bothered me the worst out of all of them in the series

  • fucking waste of time

  • Butchie was exeptionally brave.

  • Does anyone think the series would have been better if Omar lived and killed Marlo?

  • @tacosaucemafia

As much as I love Omar, I think his death was the best in the series...I mean, who expected that to happen?

Yes, it woudl have been much more satisfying to watch Omar kill Marlo, but then it wouldn't have been The Wire, now would it? :)

  • @cvdover Yeah I agree with you it went against the norm, it took balls for the writers to do that. The reason I bring it up is because I always play out different scenarios in head about Omar taking out Chris and Marlo, and it brings a smile to my face.

  • @tacosaucemafia I thought that's how Omar woulda went out but it's not realistic to have an epic gunfight like movies and The Wire is all about realism, the way Omar went out pissed me the fuck so bad, but it was the most realistic way

  • I still to this day have not gotten over Omar's death, I have to admit I cried like a mofo when that shit happened. Even worse it was that piece of shit kenard.

  • and snoop

  • @AyeeSavoe I didn't forgot them. And I hated Snoop, happy to see her go.

  • yu forgot about cheese

  • This list is awful, you could easily come up with a better list of tragic deaths. Michael's stepfather molested him for christsake. How about actual tragic deaths of victims? Bodie, D'Angelo, Wallace, Omar, Frank, Sherrod, Prop Joe, Butchie, and Brandon is the best list I can think of quickly.

  • @johowe7771 None of those I would consider "tragic". They all had it coming. Like Omar says "it's all in the game, yo". When you're part of that lifestyle you have to deal with the consequences of your actions and all those characters did things that led to consequences that needed to be paid.

  • @johowe7771 if someone is awful it's you. I've explained it HUNDRED times why I put Mike's stepfather, search for yourself, i'm not saying again..

  • @johowe7771 "Awful" but you checked this list right? I got everyone here you mentioned except Sherrod.

  • Wallace and D'Angelo would by far the worst because they did not deserve what happened to them. Especially D'angelo he already took the years he wasnt going to say anything, its just that hes the one out of all of them who had a conscious and Stringer Bell got him killed anyway him and Wallace. At the end of it all Stringer Bell got killed and Bodie got killed off the show they both where doing their dirt so karma came back around on them.

  • @Nelly0523 Yea but you have to look at it from perspectives of the guy who got each of them killed. Wallace actually did snitch and was going to testify eventually, and D'Angelo was on the edge of being turned and if he woulda started yapping, the entire Barksdale organization was going down. Avon's sentence woulda been increased, prolly to life, Stringer woulda been in there as well. From Stringer's prospective, he had to take care of D.

  • I. HATED. MARLO!!! that dude was responsible for for some of the most tragic killings. Bodie, Prop Joe, Butchie, Lil Kevin. smh. Hated him!! Maybe that's why the show was so freakin good.

  • 1.Omar 2.Wallace 3.Bodie 4.Butchie, then the rest who really cares?

  • It's Wallace, D'Angelo and Omar at the top of the list

  • This list is ridiculous. A "tragic" death is one undeserved...at least in my eyes. Half of the people on this list either wanted or deserved to die. Not saying they deserved it, but they were in the game, so what do you expect. If anything, the tragic deaths are the civilians from 'The Wire'.

  • @mainlyy Yeah, but who would want a see that list? Obviously I put the characters we got familiar with, not some dude who appears for 1 minute in the show. But you're right though, some other word, not "tragic" would fit better.

  • Omar was by far my favorite character, but I don't see his death as that tragic. I loved him on the screen, but him NOT getting killed would have been more tragic to the story, with the kid who Bunk saw pretending to be "Omar" shooting him. It all goes full circle.

    Bodie #1

  • 1. Omar 2. Wallace 3. Bodie 4. Stringer 5. Frank 6. Sherrod 7. Snoop 8. Brandon 9.Butchie 10. Johhny Weeks

  • I think I felt worse for Chris mentally reliving whatever traumatic event it was that brought him to take out Michael's father like that, than I did for Michael's father. Seriously, fuck that guy

  • WHERE IS SNOOP'S DEATH ?!

  • What about Snoop?

  • My List:

    1. Wallace 2. Omar 3. Bodie 4. D'Angelo 5. Butchie 6. Joe 7. Stringer 8. Brandon 9. Snoop 10. Sobotka (so pretty much the same haha)

  • #4 is probably the worse. Butchie was such a good character.

  • only ones tragic on this list was bodie, dangelo, and wallace. the rest had it coming and knew what they was in. those 3 i named where different cause they had good hearts

  • Bodie #1 by far

  • Frank Sobotka went out hard! That shit hurt my feelings big time.

  • D'angelo and Bodie, both so fucking tragic.

  • The security guard was wack too. Same with the post lady.

  • My bad. Wallace should be at the top and Mike's dad should be nowhere on here.

  • @chewbacca1010 Actually Wallace is number 2.

  • @ttarkus I think it should be 1, to be honest.

  • @chewbacca1010 Chewbacca from imdb?

  • @darkshad109 Dunno man, I have a different name for IMDb, but I do post on "the Wire" board once in a while.

  • Wallace isn't here, and Micheal's father is? So the pedo getting killed is somehow more tragic then a nice street kid?

    This list is nonsense.

  • @chewbacca1010 Wallace is number 2.

  • Wallace should be one.

  • U fools must be trippin..... the most tragic was the first one.... Michael killing his stepfather was the most gruesome to me than gun popping off...... look all the the blood and the anger and ferocity in those punches were lethal... i mean wtf.... the stepfather had to done something really horrible to deserve that DAMMMMN......

  • Omar. Should have been number 1 , easily.

Was kinda expecting it but stunned at the same time.

  • I'll be honest. After Omar got killed, watching the final two episodes were hard to get through.

  • @HillValley85 Yea man, I get why Bodie's and Wallace's deaths can be considered to be more tragic, but to me Omar was by far the series' best character and to me his death, though expected, hit me the hardest. I became very emotionally invested in Omar's feud with Marlo/Chris/Snoop, and I really, reaaaallly wanted him to kill at least Chris and Marlo. Seeing those two motherfuckers survive him was kind of disappointing, though it didn't make the show any worse.

  • Bodie's death is definitely the most tragic, Out of all the fictional characters deaths I've seen, his death is the one that actually made me lose sleep.

  • @dejonal I actually lost sleep after the season 4 finale as well. The whole episode was just too much. I don't think any other episode of any other series will ever make me lose sleep like that one did.

  • Stinger bell is only 7?!?

  • @dawgpacker I mean, he did some pretty fucked up shit, and also we all knew he was going to die a couple of scenes before he actually died. I loved Stringer, but his death wasn't really shocking to speak of.

  • Frank Sobotka's death was the most tragic in my opinion. It was just a straight up greek tragedy.

  • bug's dad getting killed wasn't tragic at all, it was just disturbing as fuck

  • Damn,they always kill a charachter I like,first Wallace then D Angelo,Stringer,Bodie,Butchie,Prop Joe,Omar..

  • I hated Prop Joe dying.

  • Wallace was young but still a snitch and snitches gots to go thats it

  • @DeanMurray08 I agree about Bode's death scene. I was no mo good. But the one that still gets me, the one I still hav 2 fast forward through b/c it hurts so much, is Wallace death. To hear him PLEAD for his life, to be killed by your own friends...wow. Michael B Jordan ripped that scene up. *sniff*

  • cheese killing his dog is more tragic than bug's dad getting killed

  • @soundjive Oh shit I forgot the dog completely.. might think that as the most tragic 'cause dogs don't do wrong, they have no moral...

  • @ttarkus i was kidding but in all seriousness i reckon rashard doing the hot shot is probably more tragic, but it's still a good list man

  • @soundjive Very true! I like when Cheese was saying to the cops "yall some cold motherfuckers" when they were making fun him crying over his dog. lol.

  • bodie.. i was gutted when i first saw this scene :/ a true soldier right there! he stood his ground till the end.

  • I found D's and frank sobotka really bugged me, I agree with the number 1 tho, I think no one really got over that one

  • "Damn...he didn't even wait to get the mutha fucka in the house..."

I love Snoop! That chick is gangster!

  • I will never get over Omar getting killed by that little shit

  • prop joe a true hustler he tried to hustle is way out of dying

  • Frank Sobotka hits me the hardest. Dunno why.

  • @immortalass Agreed, there was a lot of good in that character

  • Bodie alerted the Horde!!!

  • 1. Wallace 2. Bodie 3. Omar

  • No Snoop? Weak.

    Yah you look good girl.

  • 1. omar

    2. bodie

    great video tho

  • course no one cares about michaels step dad dying..but i think the way he was killed was tragic. thats the only scene that actually disturbed me.

    Why isn't Snoop in this!?

  • I have to agree. Putting Michael's pedophile step-father in here is a disgrace. Honestly, considering the lives that these characters led, I have a hard time calling ANY of these deaths "tragic". The only one that truly disturbed me was the death of Wallace. I felt so bad for that kid. The genius of shows like The Wire, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy and shows like them is that they make you care about what happens to characters that really aren't good people. Still, Wallace didn't have to die.

  • @Grizzam721: His death should have been #1.

  • Ok I just saw #10 you can bump that to #1 dangg.. (Haven't even watched the rest.)

  • 1# should have been wallace. It's the only time I actually cried watching this whole show.

  • wallace is by far the most tragic

  • @markrodier I can't even think about it without tears coming.

  • the korean lady sounds like she's say "Ohhh-mar iiisss dead"

  • Chris fucked up when he spit i was amazed that the same guy who sad "I get to a job a hour early sometime two" would do something stupid like spit on the guy he just killed

  • McNulty's fake death was more tragic than #10. RIP hobo-biter.
