  • The GM pushrod will never die. The overall dimensions of the LSX series engines will always win because of its compact design and capability of 650hp NA with the 7.4L LSX 454 on 93 octane. I'd like the camaro if it was more like a pontiac G8 for its damn size.

  • well one thing as you can tell the stang got a good jump on the maro but gives the maro a good diet and that stang couldn't keep up it.

  • only a dumb ass would buy a ford anyway

  • @205sugatop I would rather have a Ford than a Chevy, Ford are more popular and better then ever, Chevy is more bucket of bolts plastic junk than ever.

  • @GarysBeerReview maybe you should check out how many problems Ford is having with this transmission before you run your mouth. Ford decided to save a few bucks and get the tranny built in China...Big mistake. There's a reason Ford dropped to 23rd place in initial quality for 2011...way behind "bucket of bolts plastic junk"

  • @cozzey05 China's auto industry is larger than ours!, there are a lot of components being made in China right now, including Chevy parts.

  • @GarysBeerReview Do a search on 2011 Mustang GT transmission problems, this isn't an isolated problem. These transmissions are failing a week after they leave the dealership. Some are having problems straight off the lot.

  • @cozzey05 Ford always have problems with their trans autos that is.

  • @stylinwiley this time it's the other way around, the manuals are big problems

  • chevy i gonna have to do a redesign if they want to stay in the game, fords 2014/15 body is going to be much lighter and the 5.0 will receive direct injection and other goodies. its supposed to be closer to 500hp rating. the camaro is supposed to get a 5.5L pushrod, im a little disappointed because i heard it will only put out 440hp. if they try and do an evolution of the current maro, it will be way to heavy.

  • @turbonegro1120 Camaro zl1 is coming out in few months for chevy guys. It will smoke all mustangs. This includes shelby models. Camaro has better suspension and becoming a sports car instead of muscle car. Ford still has better build quality. Chevy has to work on improving that. zl1 is going to push close to 600hp. If you reflash with zr1 config you can easily get 650hp.

  • @gwalia4 the zl1 will put out about as much hp as a gt500. and the gt500 will be lighter, i cant see the camaro being faster. and you can easily gain hp with the mustang as well with a better tune. both will be fast, the camaro just needs to go on a diet.

  • @gwalia4 How do u figure the camaro has better suspension? In every review ive seen the mustang had the better rated suspension.

  • @gwalia4 I call BS. There is not a chance in hell the ZL1 will have the same motor as the ZR1. It'll have milder cams, weakass mass produced valvetrain and rotating assembly etc etc.. Only thing "ZR" will be the blower. And unless its packing north of 600hp or goes on a huge diet, it will be slower than the 2011+ GT500.

  • @CJDUBstang How do you figure that? It will have the same powertrain as the CTS-V which has no problem walking the GT500 in every way possible. Basically a CTS-V on a diet with better suspension, the GT500 doesn't have a chance. Look for 11 second 1/4 miles and fast lap times...something you don't see with the GT500. The GT500 is an amazing car there's just something about it that kills me. Why is it sooooo slow. Cammed LS1's are running with it, come on man.

  • @cozzey05 lol the GT500 is an 11s car you fucking tool and superior to a CTS-V. I dunno where you get your numbers from. Magazines? I know a magazine that tracked the shit out of the GT500 and the 911 Turbo and found them about the same lap time. And i said weakass mass produced drivetrain and meant it. All these wannabe ballers thinking it will have the same components and build quality as an LS9: it won't. Anyway, we're still talking about an imaginary car that hasn't been tracked yet.

  • @CJDUBstang I'm talking bone stock on factory tires, I'm not saying it hasn't been done but its far from the normal GT500. Maybe you should do your research on the new ZL1 and see exactly how bad ass it will be. I've seen plenty of GT500's at the track and have never seen one break into the 11's stock. It's kinda like you're Mustang, you would think it would run quicker than a 14.1 stock but that's not the case now is it. Looks like you've been picked on too much by the LS1's.

  • @cozzey05 lol you stupid clown. The 2012 GT500 is in fact an 11s car STOCK on factory rubber. My 05 mustang ran a 13.4 STOCK on factory rubber. Re the ZL1 uh "...how bad ass IT WILL BE" "Will be?" You sound like a damn ricer, content discussing hard track facts on a car that does not yet exist, but ignoring real numbers two ACTUAL cars which have proven over and over what they can do. STOCK. Lol and i don't fear LS1 cars..

  • @CJDUBstang 13.4 and you don't fear LS1s? Mine was running 13.0 bone stock...maybe you're just ignorant

  • @cozzey05 1st: LS1 cars are total shit. 2nd come race and find out.

  • @CJDUBstang wow really? Bone stock LS1's are putting down as much at the wheels as your 3 valve 4.6 makes at the crank.

  • @CJDUBstang ls1 can hold 14lb of boost stock all day show me a ford that don't come with supercharger or turbo that can more then 6 lb.

  • @stylinwiley pfffff..HAHAHAHAHAHAAH....first off asshole a cobra w/out rebuilding the motor will hold 21lbs. "All day long" eh? Unless you're a dumbass you don't put more than around 10lbs through any mass produced motor N/A and expect the engine to last long, espcially with a centrifugal charger. 8.5lbs usually good enough. With the 5.7 having a long stroke and quite high compression it is more suceptible to failure compared to the shorter deck 4.6 which is usually whats found in a mustang.

  • @CJDUBstang try looking up facts look on motor trend they are testing a stock ls1 and it is running good on 14lb boost by the way where do you get off calling me a asshole and a dumbass. god bless your trans

  • @stylinwiley Keep thinking 14lbs is great for your high compression motor, ya clown. And fuck Motor Trend, idiot.

  • @CJDUBstang I think you need special love from your dad little boy.

  • those new mustangs are making gm look so bad

  • @imserious2187 i wouldn't say making them look bad. but yes the 5.0L is better for the moment.

  • honestly. in october, i bought the 2011 mustang gt. black on black. 6 spd. brembo brakes. ive been a chevy guy all my life. the new camaro is sexy. but when i went to the dealer to pick one out. i sat inside and was very disappointed. the quality and visibility is shit. and then i decided to check out the 5.o. went to the dealer and fell in love. there were no sacrifices i had to make for the mustang. all leather interior and high quality design. all in all. both are sick, fast and good looking.

  • fuck they are fast!

  • These 5.0's are terrorizing the streets and wiping up all the ricers tears as they blow by them. The BIG three rule!

  • Times? Looks like the driver in the Camaro was asleep

  • seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ya!!!

  • One hell of a lauch!!! 5.0 kills GM pushrod shit!!!

  • @hugoloves2spooge, hey don't knock the old tech still getting better mpg than the new modular's :) lets tear ass on the imports hehe

  • @hugoloves2spooge

it's funny how these ford punks think they're the shit after ford FINALLY comes out with something nice. keep in mind 1998 LS1 Camaro Z28's have been curb stomping Mustang GT's all the way up until 2011 (not to mention got better gas mileage and were more reliable). oh, and by the way, the 2012 Camaro Z28 is going to come with the supercharged Corvette ZR1 engine, so yea, game over for the GT and the Shelby once 2012 arrives.

  • @Hellz420 "curb stomping Mustang GT's all the way up until 2011" Really? I guess that's why GM stopped building it in 02 because it was so good. And let's talk about a car that's not even in production yet, and no the engine is coming from the cts-v, not the zr1.

  • @vix121 yes... curb stomping mustang gt's all the way up until 2011, with there being tons of videos here on youtube to prove it. GM stopped building it in 02 because more people were buying the slower, less reliable, lower gas mileage getting, mustang gt. besides, it took ford 12 years to make the mustang gt faster than the camaro, and now that that the gt is faster, it's taking chevy ONE year to respond with a faster car (the z28).

  • @Hellz420 Bullshit, the camaro chickened out after 02, they knew they had no answer for the upcoming Terminator and instead of losing face, they did what every coward does, run away. And after all the bitching and yapping by gm and chevy fangirls about the Cobras and GT500s having superchargers and blowing bullshit about "no replacement for displacement," they go out and supercharge the camaro. gm is bullshit, borrows money, runs away from fights and now copies the car that owns it, Mustang!!

  • @trevinboy yeah... they had no answer to the upcoming terminator. you are sooo right. i mean it's not like GM has ever used superchargers before? oh wait... the family car grand prix gtp came with a roots-type supercharger. do you even know the differences between superchargers? did you even know that GM sells built engines that are far superior to the Z06 engine? you have ZERO understanding of GM's situation. please do not try to spew out bullshit when in reality you have no clue.

  • @Hellz420 What -I- understand is they are poverty stricken government owned motherfuckers, who got to finance cars for free for a while on everybody's dime.

  • @Hellz420 Hey and buddy..the reason the SC those cars so they'd have something to sell once the camaro bowed, to compete in the mustang segment, you fucking idiot.

  • @trevinboy oh and chevy fangirls? are you joking man? please... put the crack pipe down... i think all that needs to be said here is: the mustang is every teenage girls dream car. the camaro is the man's car and always has been. if you have friends that are mechanics, you'll find that a majority of those mechanics prefer a camaro over a mustang. need i say more?

  • @Hellz420 all you've proven is you know a bunch of stupid mechanics. The mustang isn't every girls dream -its pretty much everyBODY'S dream. Its has wide appeal no matter your race, gender, age occupation, etc. That why its been a dominant brand for 45 years. The camaro is just fucking useless. A late to the party as usual, mid life crisis machine.

  • @CJDUBstang That's right I'm black and i have a terminator and i wax super slomaro's all day! Ford 4 life! MANIAC MUSTANGS NEW ORLEANS,LA

  • @Hellz420 You need a history check dude. The Mustang has been the top dog since the Terminator came out spring 2002 while the gaymaro was still on sale. It took GM 12 years update the 1998 Camaro and 5 years to answer to the new Gen GT. Meanwhile Ford went after the import RWDs outselling them 3:1. FINALLY GM comes out with a car that's SLOWER THAN THE OLD TERMINATOR, and it takes Ford just ONE YEAR to build a faster car. As for the the ZL1, unless its 600hp is no WAY its faster than a GT500.
