I'm saving up to get one(a little girl). I'm not getting it bc I've lost a child but bc I want a child. I want to be a mommy so bad but I'm too young to have a baby and couldn't handle it. but I love holding babies and taking care of them and feeling like a mommy

I think they are amazing. I would hope they wouldn't be replacements for real relationships, but I can't see what harm it does for people enjoy them for what they are. I would love to see one in person. I don't think I would want to own one personally, but the art form is fascinating and I would love to see them on display somewhere.
I have 5 reborns and they are absoultley gorgegoues. There is nothing wrong with them I know they are dolls but I treat them real. This is why these therapeutic babies are so amazing. When I get the funds, I would love to get a doll like my son Vincent for myself.

You see she has two boys already and yet she'd rather spend time and release stress with a lifeless sack of vinyl and fluff. I don't know what it feels like to lose a child, but I just can't fathom why she would make her life revolve around a doll symbolizing a baby she lost instead of loving what she DOES have. I can't say that she doesn't love her boys but you see what she did. She said "Hi" and ran to the doll.

I am in the process of doing my first reborn, it's a real art form. I also think these are great for people that want a baby but not the hassle of cleaning a nappy or raising a child. If more people could get attached to newborn's maybe there wouldn't be so many people having kids that they can't look after. Just give chav's a reborn to push around. I am a prototype sculptor in the Toy Industry. What that means, is that I create an original master sculpt that is produced en masse. I am also a professional artist. But, I consider one who does work in this craft as being a craftsman -not an artist, as they are not creating the piece but assembling the pieces. As good as they may be at the painting of these dolls, they are technicians. Re-name the reborn "artist" as a crafter, the word artist should only be reserved for the sculptor.

There would be a key attached to our wrist and everytime the baby "cries", we would have to put the key in their back to stop it from crying. We had to carry the doll around with us for a couple of days and even sleep with it. Everytime you neglect the doll, you would get points deducted from your grade.

@xamarcadeeye I lost my baby at 8 months and I cannot have any more children because of a genetic disorder. This is something I cannot help, but I wouldn't put a baby at risk again by having another. This is why these therapeutic babies are so amazing. When I get the funds, I would love to get a doll like my son Vincent for myself.

They make my life complete and yes i DO HAVE A LIFE outside of these dolls. I respect the art. However I don't respect that woman with the "Samuel" doll. You see she has two boys already and yet she'd rather spend time and release stress with a lifeless sack of vinyl and fluff. I don't know what it feels like to lose a child, but I just can't fathom why she would make her life revolve around a doll symbolizing a baby she lost instead of loving what she DOES have. I can't say that she doesn't love her boys but you see what she did. She said "Hi" and ran to the doll.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you don't have to pick on people for what they do on their spare time. Is sculpting creepy? No. And some sculptures like out of clay are baked and do they look creepy when you see a head in the oven? Well any head in the oven is creepy...But just because it's a person who enjoys spending their time working hard to create a baby doesn't mean you have to hurt someones feelings.. Btw consider that a person would spend lots of $ and time creating these.

Second, these women don't need psychiatric help, they just love babies and want to have that amazing feeling all the time. It's not creepy to me, it's gorgeous. But that's just my opinion. I am in the process of doing my first reborn, it's a real art form. I also think these are great for people that want a baby but not the hassle of cleaning a nappy or raising a child. If more people could get attached to newborn's maybe there wouldn't be so many people having kids that they can't look after. Just give chav's a reborn to push around. They also help with the grieving process.

I am a prototype sculptor in the Toy Industry. What that means, is that I create an original master sculpt that is produced en masse. I am also a professional artist. But, I consider one who does work in this craft as being a craftsman -not an artist, as they are not creating the piece but assembling the pieces. As good as they may be at the painting of these dolls, they are technicians. Re-name the reborn "artist" as a crafter, the word artist should only be reserved for the sculptor.

There would be a key attached to our wrist and everytime the baby "cries", we would have to put the key in their back to stop it from crying. We had to carry the doll around with us for a couple of days and even sleep with it. Everytime you neglect the doll, you would get points deducted from your grade.
