  • GM needs to put Pratt & Miller in charge of the the production Corvettes

  • Adam Carolla is such a tool. I'm no car genius but I can tell you that he knows less that he claims.

  • fuck you jay leno

  • what he paid for that i would love to get a mid 90s Supra and have some ca$h

  • @WolvertSky Supra's don't have full carbon fiber bodies, so they're heavy and don't corner well. Also, this has some major suspension and engine work.

  • Who the hell dislikes this video?? Adam kicks ass

  • im guessin that adams mini cooper in the back

  • @Boomx2Brian That's Donny's Mini now.

  • @Powerhouse238 lmfao yur a fucking loser bruh, tht comment is a year old... which mean yu where going through the comment pages smh. get a life POWERBITCH hahaha

  • stupid old fuck this car looks better with me in it anyway than this gray hair fuck

  • @pwoeijcw Judging solely by your attitude and your vocabulary, you wouldn't be able to handle driving a car like this.

  • Obama HATES manly cars :-))))

  • 7 Minutes of talking and no driving??

  • It would get more like 6 mpg on E85, if it gets 8 on 91. Also I bet there are lots of tuned Covettes runing on E85 out there, its a lot cheper then race gas, and about the equivalent to 100 octane gas.

  • I can't believe that Leno isn't picking up on any of Adam's jokes. Leno knows cars, but Carolla knows cars and comedy

  • My pick up truck is 1.8 liters. lol...........

  • if i see u jay leno perpair to be jacked

  • Forget Top Gear USA. Just make a show with these two... Jay Leno (over prepared) and Adam Carolla (under prepared). Perfect combo. Like watching Laurel and Hardy adlib a Corvette review!

  • The awkward commentary by Corolla is because this is being recorded for the "Carcast" podcast.

  • seems like Corolla knows nothing about cars compared to Leno. its almost embarrassing to watch him fumble

  • This package costs 180k, not including the price of buying a z06... Just buy a ZR1 for 160k less.

  • @pali311 The 750hp model is $160k over the base C6 not Z06. This model is about $120k plus base C6. Considering other competing cars, this one is very cheap in comparison.

  • @pali311 chevy sells a thousand ZR1's every year.

There are only 6 C6RS in the world. The ZR1 has 6.3L supercharged, this thing has 8.2L naturally aspirated Le Mans engine. 500 cubic inches!

  • @liftedview But I would take the torque curve from the ZR1 over the C6RS...

  • That sure looks and sounds like a Burns' exhaust. And that would make sense because Burns makes some exhaust systems for Katech and Pratt and Miller.

  • And I thought the ZR1 was fast.

  • 1 person is a conan fan

  • looks like a freakin bat mobile

  • Vette!! an all round Class act

  • clip should be renamed " Jay Leno says carbon fibre 243 times"

  • They actually do make one with a supercharger, total cost comes out to 200 grand

  • I like how Jay makes fun of the way he say's network at the end. network..

  • Comment removed

  • he is trying too hard.

  • If there is an air compressor it is pneumatic not hydraulic! Don't know why but i hate this cap guy!

  • Hey Jay, since you have sooo much money.....could you possibly donate this Corvette to me???

  • @Dalit5 It makes Toyota look like an useless company considering this gets 21 highway mpg with 600 hp while the 158 hp Camry gets 31. So if you take the hp/mpg ratio, the Camry should get over 120 mpg.....which it doesn't.

  • @straightedge442 Eh...not a very good way to look at it. Trust me, I hate toyota generally speaking but you can't look at it like this. Just doesn't work.

  • I love it..... That's my favorite Corvette.....

  • I was introduced to this by a Toyota commercial....

  • The C6RS is actually faster than a ZR1 because it is made of all carbon fiber.

  • @cutworm87 that and th huge motor is going to give you huge low end out of the corner.

  • if money wasnt an issue i would buy/make one of these over a zr1 just because of the rarity and you wont be able to tell a whole lot between 600 hp and 638 when you are running mid 3's cause you'll most likely be the only one around on any given day

  • Nice, I saw this car at the Los Angeles autoshow and I took a ton of pictures of the car. Search Flickr.com if you want to check them out.

Awesome car, one of my favorite cars of all time!

  • well this must have been painted from someone else they only come in red but one hell of a car i heard that the zo6's and the zri's have the same damn steering will as a colbolt hahah

  • Congrats Leno, that thing is a fucking bad ass!

  • I heard that this car cost less than the zr1

  • props to jay leno for being able to put up with this guy for 6 minutes

  • That guy with the pink shirt is annoying as fuck!!!

  • The mustang comment was a joke, fuck tards

  • Fag in the pink shirt is a retard.

  • This is the actual Pratt & Miller C6RS Team Corvette Race car, as detuned for the street by P&M with GM support.

8.2L Katech, 500 ci Custom billet allloy block, Carravagio interior, special P&M design carbon fiber seats, FULL carbon fiber body., etc, etc.

    $250,000

  • Now THAT is how a Vette is supposed to look. The next vette I see with those cheesy azz chrome wheels on it, i'm going to slap the driver with a pork chop.

  • lmmfao did he say mustang??? "i see ur a real car guy" (jay leno) "yeah i kno my cars" (idiot man) Wow lmao ford wish they cud make a car that beautiful and fast

  • @dumbf7y GTX1...

  • @ADD8oi not A looking car, the vette is pure beauty and muscle, especially the c6r

  • @dumbf7y GT is better looking imo

  • @ADD8oi hell naw GT is horrible looking

  • @dumbf7y that would be your opinion, he GT is much better looking IMO, plus everyone and their uncle has a corvette, very overrated to me

  • @ADD8oi i see wat ur saying u saying vettes are cliche rite? but everyone had vettes becuz they love them and is the true american car... think about it lol

  • @dumbf7y so? youre still following the crowd, basically youre saying you like vettes because everybody likes vettes then....idk why you really care at all, IMO the GT is a much better car

  • @ADD8oi no i like the vette becuz its a bad azz car and it'll run circle against any ford or any dodge if u a mopar guy, ford havent made a good car since "THE TERMINATOR" and i tip my hat off, that was a bad azz car and the best car of 2001-2004 era, but other then that ford is pretty azz and they cars prove that... by the how did the ford GT do at le mans just curious lmao????

  • @dumbf7y the GT was neck and neck with the corvette at the time, even now its right up there with the ZR1, lol currently fords mustang destroys chevy, but yeah youre following a trend, its pretty obvious you ont really care about the performance or quality of a car, youre only focused on the gold bowtie....

  • @ADD8oi correct me if im wrong the 5.0 is rated at 415hp, the camaro is rated 430hp, and the grand sport vette is rated at 436hp... and gm has came out with the eaton supercharger kit for the gs vette and maro lmao, come on now, i know my cars and performance u cant tell me shit about performance, and im a die hard GM guy, so u gonna have to come harder then saying im going with the crowd becuz i can go track number to performance numbers on u and chevy will crush ford everytime lol

  • @dumbf7y lmfao, typical fanboy, you dont know anything about what ur saying, the 2011 mustang walks all over the camaro, SS and LT, and the gransport isnt faster by much....you sir are truly dumb

  • @ADD8oi Umm the corvette GS 1LZ 46k out the door runs circles around a fully equipped GT 5.0 in every single category period. I'm not even gonna list facts. Not even close. The 2011 53k GT500 is barely neck and neck with the 2010 GS 1LZ with the GS beating it in most categories. The 2011 GS has suspension upgrades and better tires which now probably put it ahead of the GT500, plus saving about 7-8k on a GS. I won't even mention the 65k 1LZ Z06.

  • @BEBNC1 mate the GranSport Corvette has an estimated time 0-60 of about 4.5 seconds, that is as of 2010 reviews, the 2011 GT 5.0 does 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, the shelby does it in 4 flat....the Z06 isnt comparable because that is getting into the supercar area considering its pulling over 1g lateral and sub 4 seconds 0-60 times, the GT500 is for mustang enthusiast just like the Z06 is for vette enthusiasts, i prefer mustangs and fords over gmc products, but dont get me wrong, i love all american

  • @ADD8oi 2010 1LZ GS 0-60 3.9-4.2 qt mile trap 117 -118 and 0.97 to 1.02 g depending on source. The 5.0 GT 4.4 is questionalbe b/c no one is being able to replicate that time in the 5.0, almost all sources are getting 4.6 -4.8 secs trap 112mph and thats with the 3.73 final drive. Even InsideLine got 4.4 secs in the GS and they are none for horrible times. I have yet to see a source with 011 GT500 at 4flat (4.2 is best i've seen). I love ford and chevy both but the vette is a different world.

  • @BEBNC1 im giving my personal results on the fords, but i do have to state the vette and the mustang are completely incomparable and i absolutely respect the vette for being a monster, beating european cars 2-3x its price, which is a massive milestone for us american auto companies to overcome

  • @ADD8oi I am a vette guy, owned 2 (97 and 02 z51 coupes) but i have also owned a 99GT. I am vette first mustang 2nd, but the 2 cars are aimed at different audiences and stock for stock comparisons are really ungrounded. I love both cars to say the least and the mustang has always been my next choice. They are both awesomely fun to drive. The corvette is a world beater and i'm glad the new 5.0 can compete against foreign competion 2x its cost and win.

  • @BEBNC1 exactly, american FTW lol

  • @ADD8oi But not everyone has a C6RS!

  • @aqinthe lol same bodytype....idc if its the ZR1, C6RS or the GS, i dont like the corvette, its way too common for its pricetag

  • @ADD8oi So then a Supersnake Mustang also sucks because it looks like a V6 Mustang. You should buy a car because you like it not because of what other people have or don't have. But I kind of get you'r point.

Just curious what kind of cars do you like? And if you don't like Corvettes why are you spending time on a C6RS vid?

  • @aqinthe haha im just saying i wouldnt buy one, they really are great performing vehicles and i respect them as such, i have 2 mustangs and i do agree with your point as well, the mustang, corvette, camaro, and charger are very very common cars simply because of the bang for your buck, for instance, corvette GS is around 50k and its a perfect beginner track car, same with the mustang

  • @ADD8oi Everyone has their preferences. You are right many people buy Mustangs, Chargers, Camaros and GS Corvettes because you get good performance for you'r money. The C6RS is 100% had built. There is a pretty impressive vid on YT of one being built.

Just curious what year/make of Mustangs do you own?

  • @aqinthe 100% hand built...sorry

  • @aqinthe yeah, it really is impressive since its just a slightly downtuned version of a full on race car, i own a 2008 mustang bullitt and a 2009 v6 mustang, i have videos of the v6 up on my channel, and im going to upload the track video of my bullitt hitting 10s when i get home from my vacation haha

  • @ADD8oi I'm not a big fan of Mustangs. But I do like the 5.0 LX Mustangs from the early 90's and the Bullitt versions from the 2000's like the one you have. I will check out you'r channel vids. Peace

  • not a good looking car becuz its a ford and its just hideous, the vette is pure beauty and muscle

  • It is a Le Mans car made by a race car manufacturer for the road so yes it has a racing exhaust.

  • dumb ass its 500 cubic inches....thats 8.2 liters!!! its not a 427 i.e. 7.0 liters, no 7.0 liter sounds like that unless its running a race exhaust.

  • @ViennaBanana The newest C6RS version has a 427 and is rated @ 750hp, I believe.

  • @ViennaBanana Hey retard, you should read before you troll. I said the NEWEST version of the C6RS has a 7.0L and is rated @ 750.

The C6RS in the video with the 8.2L is the older version of the C6RS. You should know what you are talking about befoe you talk shit.

  • @aqinthe there were only 7 C6RS's made...

  • @ADD8oi ......A year. 7 made a year.

  • @aqinthe you sure about that? i dont know exactly but it sounded like only 7 made period, i could be wrong though

  • @ADD8oi There is the first generation of the C6RS. It's the one in the vid. (It has a 8.2L engine with 600hp. Their might have been only 7 of those built. You may be right.

There is a newer version with a 7.0L engine and 750hp. I do know they are making 7 of those a year.

  • @aqinthe oh alright, yeah they really are cool cars, they sound like a monster

  • I think this car will destroy the LFA and the ACR Viper in the Nurburgring, and I don't think Jay likes that dude

  • Lol "Mustang" Jay answering ironic "you're a real car guy" Lol

  • the Guy doesn't seem to be that impressed.

He doesn't even know the car and says "mustang" in the begining.

Obviously he under-estimate the car and not appreciate the Marvelous engineering.

    This is sub 2900~3000Ibs

    600Hp/600Tq car

  • @rkd350z He was joking about the mustang, Adam knows his cars. listen to carcast if you like this stuff.

  • @rkd350z hey bro just a corection its 3400 pounds ive seen the stats

  • As long as they dont try to put a damn v6 in the vette.

As long as it makes good MPG's and meets the emisson's standards then they'll put a big engine into the C7.

Also something that is possible is that they'll use that new hybrid v8 that they used in the Stingray concept.

  • "Introducing the C6RS Sport Package with choice of optional vehicle upgrades.

Transform your C6 or Z06 into the ultimate performance Corvette. Conceived, designed, developed and constructed by the championship-winning Pratt & Miller team, the Corvette C6RS is bristled with sophistication and inspired by race technology. With various upgrades available, customization allows you the opportunity to build your ideal C6RS."

  • you guys are getting ahead of youreslf, jay leno owns a bunch of cars from corevette, porsche, lambo, ponza, lotus, gtr, ferrari, mustang, etc

  • Because the Z06 has a different engine and suspension than the C6.

  • What I don't get is why you have to buy a Z06 instead of regular c6 for them to do all these option...For $180,000 and thats including the corvette..I don't see why you would have to spend the extra $30-40k for a z06 model..anyway beautiful car..

  • @whattha187 You don't have to, they will do any C6, even a vert. The Z06 is best because of the lighter chassis, but they don't require it.

  • @whattha187 well first of all the, Z06 has an aluminum frame, second, it's stiffer, third it's lighter, and last, it is wider

  • Comment removed

  • $200,000 btw

  • Jay the Corvette interior is unacceptable. for how much it cost, Porsche Turbo's cost a about as much a the zr1, and has a fantastic interior. the zr1 on the other hand still has a shitty cobalt quality, GM parts bin special look to it. and even this so called upgrade is still crap. I sill love the C6RS its still awesome.

  • a zr1 performs better then most porches, and the turbo costs about 120,000, which is more then the zr1

  • @seroyer2 ohh, shut the fuck up with the interior, if you don't like it then don't buy it, stay with your Porsches

  • Used to love the ZR1 but not anymore

  • Same here. I hate the ZR1. It is NOT a purebred track car like the C6RS is. The C6RS is what the ZR1 should have been. All Naturally Aspirated, carbon fiber bodywork, coil over suspension, etc. That's what a REAL track car has, none of this dumbass supercharger bullshit and retarded engine viewing cover. I want a track car, not something to take to a car show.

  • I suppose the ZR1 was just a quick response to nissans horsepower wars. It is a shame that american performance is bridging on supercharging than the good ol' Big Block that we are all used to. As of now the Dodge Viper (8.4L) and Z06 (7.0L) are the last of the true american muscle cars. Long live the LS7

  • The LS7 is capable of making well over 600hp with some camshaft adjustments.

I own a 07 Z06 with 585hp at the wheels and all i did was some cam adjustments along with some fuel and intake adjustments and a corsa free flow exhaust.

But its all NA no forced induction.

I also plan on ordeing some lightweight parts from P&M to get my curb weight below 3000lbs

  • I know what you mean, the ZR1 to me is a supercharged 05 c6.

Whereas what I was really trying to say is that traditional american performance cars with huge NA engines are going to be extinct.

the next generation C7 they might drop the massive LS7 altogether for a smaller 5.5 high output engine as seen on the C6r Le Mans. And now that the Viper SRT10 is dead this makes the Z06 the last of its kind

  • Well cmon the ZR1's a damn good car forced induction is just an easy cheap way to make power. But the LS9 is great engine. Dont forget the Zr1's magnetic selective suspension, track tuned LSD and those carbon cermic brakes. So its more than an average C6.

  • As for the C7 GM promised it would be less than 3000lbs and with a lower drag coeficient. Those two things will not only help performance but it will help with the MPG's

The Z06 can get 27mpg HW because its light aerdynamic and its engine makes alot of torque at low rpms.

Plus GM also slated the LS10's debut with the C7 that supossedly will make 600+hp N/A which will most likely be on the Z06 variant.

  • so LS10 are we talking 454 cu....?

  • Hopefully not 427 or 7.0 is the best way to go.

Possibly DOHC but idk much GM keeps their Vette projects very low profile.

  • the c6r uses a 427 cube small block..

  • How do you know the SRT10 is dead? I thought dodge releases something recently saying they will continue to make it.

  • @loudblazer as of summer 2010 viper is dead. Viper ill come back in 2012 but not the same engine. new engine most likely ferrari sourced from one of ferraris old models

  • actually..the supercharged vette engine has been in development for the last 10 years..that car was in development before the R35 was shown..and the 6th gen corvette was in development as soon as the C5 came out..the c5 was sort of just a filler until the c6 came out..but i agree..wish they would have keept it breathing naturally..also..none of these cars are bigblocks..none of the current vettes..even this 500 CID is utilizing an aluminum small block..at it's limits of bore mind you

  • one lucky son of a bitch. lol

  • Jay Leno has not spent ANY money that he got from his show. All the money he has spent has come from his early days of stand up.

  • And I hate him for it...

  • LOL! He was making $25 million a year from the late '90s through early this year before Conan O'brien took over. He's also making a good several million for his new 10 PM talk show. How many cars does he have in his gigantic warehouse?

  • The garage is 17,000 sq ft. and a quarter of that is dedicated to fabrication. Last I checked, I believe he had at least 130+ cars in his collection spanning over 100+ years of automotive history.

    jaylenosgarage(dot)com.

  • is that including money from stand-up ? think adam said one time that Jay bought all his cars just from stand-up money and not used much from the money that he's made from the tonight show when was on that, dunno if it's right, if yes then god damn

  • No, the $25 million-a-year doesn't include the stand-up stuff. He lives off the stand-up money. He said that several times on Howard Stern's show and Adam Carolla's show and some magazine interviews too. Man, imagine how much money he has that he doesn' t touch! On top of his past Tonight Show deal, he's making several million for his current 10 P.M. show. Wow!

  • hunk of junk air suspension

  • Free-breathers FTW, bitches. I'm just not a fan of pinwheels and boosters. The ZR1 is a phenomenal car. I just don't care for the supercharger.

LPE makes a terrifying 1,400 hp Twin Turbo C6 Z06 but again, I'm not buying one because it has pinwheels.

Fewer moving parts in a sportscar always equals better reliability and longer durability.

Long live the GM pushrod V8.

  • I don't know what to think between this and the ZR1. I tend to agree with you about NA vs. forced induction but it would be nice to see someone do a performance comparison between the two. The ZR1 seems to have so many other advantages; being about 50k cheaper, having a GM warranty, better fuel economy, slightly more power, etc. In my opinion, the C6RS would have to be puting up better numbers to justify the extra price.

  • I agree that the C6RS is costlier because it is a highly-modified Corvette due to the bigger lungs and competition cams installed. It's a tough choice but it's my preference and a cost I'm willing to spend.

  • I think Jay likes carbon fiber.

  • Nice car, great interview. Love the show.

  • Those are nice wheels

  • That car is such a beast
