  • l am just starting climbing and it hurts but it is worth it...my teacher says we should get our own way to get it, but she only tells us to do it with one leg... no wonder l just can climb with my right leg.... l will start practicing with my left too. thank you

  • Thank you for the tip, will try this next time I climb on the pole

  • Great! Thanks!

  • Thank you! Very comprehensive tutorial, I'll try to do exactly as you've shown. I hope I manage it at least!!

  • the best pole climb tutorial in the web

  • ooooh ok thanks!!!!

  • what can i do to keep my pole less slippery? i've tried wiping it down with damp towel then a dry towel but it still gets slippery

  • @HoBiscuit Try cleaning your pole with half methylated spirits and half water. That should get rid of any body oils or greasiness.

Also, try a little bit of oil free cream of u feel like your skin is too dry. Dry skin is slippery against the pole

  • @HoBiscuit In our class we spray it with alcohol, it helps a little bit

  • if my legs are bruising does that mean im doing it wrong?

  • @iamtroubl3 no, i was black and blue when i first started

  • Thank you! I just realized I haven't been pushing up with my knees/legs like you showed. I definitely want to try again now......should be a bit easier :)

  • i just climbed to the top of my pole b/c of this video i've been doing it all wrong & I used to just try to "jump up there" no wonder why I'd be so exhausted!

  • @shealuvsu Sweet! Proper technique does wonders :)

  • lol I love the smiley face right after "top right foot will hurt" lol

Keep up the videos. They're great and will help me so much as soon as I get my own pole! :)

  • I love you.

  • Do you need a lot of body strength to be able to do this?

  • @salinabear Not to start with. You get stronger as you practice. But you would need to practice. And yes, you do need strength at advance levels

  • 1st comment =)

Btw what company would you suggest to start learning to pole?

  • @Loyo511 What do you mean? There are many dance studios that offer classes. Google your local area :)
