@BOOBALASDADA It was Roman Catholicism that persecuted Galileo not Early Christianity. Christianity in its infancy was persecuted by the Romans. The Roman Empire under the rule of Constantine fathered "Christinity" that we know of today. Christianity today is nothing but mixing of pagan rituals and the belief in the Messiah concept from Judaism.

@BOOBALASDADA That is a false claim by the RCC. IMHO, if Christ and the apostles were to come today they will not recognize the RCC. RCC doctrine completely contradicts the command God has given to Israel the first Church. Yeshua(Christ) was a devout Jew along with his disciples. Common sense will tell you that if He taught contrary to the Torah he would not have any followings. Christ words in the gospels does not contradict the commands of God, unlike what the RCC teaches.

I suggest that you see if what I am sharing with you is true. I suggest that you get a copy of the catechism of the RCC and compare it to what the bible has to say. The driver who hit John was had some alcohol in his blood but was not over the legal limit. In court, John's family pleaded for some clemency as the guy was full of remorse and obvioulsly devastated by having hit a pedestrian who unexpectedly stepped off the sidewalk in the dark. He was a night worker and had no idea who John was.

Believe what you like. It was an accident, and everyone who knew John knows that.

@PinkPunkyKat I feel that the concept of demons and angels are simply due to the unability to understand something that strange. Personaly i would claim there is no such thing as a demon (devil ect) but also angels and other descriptions of them. I believe there are simply just other beings as we are on a different level not nessesarily higher.

On Monday 27 September 2004 at 23:25 John was struck by a van whilst walking back to his hotel in London after a dinner with friends. Being American, he looked left instead of right before crossing the street. He lost consciousness at the scene of the accident & later died.

The driver was not a bad person & entered a plea of guilty by careless driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. He & was full of remorse. He had no idea who John was.

Sometimes a road accident is just an accident.

John Mack was a brave and intelligent man. The world needs more like him. He had the courage to ask WHY and to try to look beyond the boundaries of our immediate experience. He had the courage to question and engage with unorthodox ideas/beliefs while most other intellectuals buried their head in the sand. I hope that his legacy continues and people continue to ask important and philosophically important questions.
