@bbcarallo Nor the same experience level. Fights are made to be competitive by combining weight, experience, age, and height by independent promoters.
physique is not a problem in fighting. look at fedor, and roy nelson. even bj penn doesnt look like a ripped unerwear model yet he is a destroyer of men. It really comes down to experience and how well your body is conditioned to fighting. If fighting had anything to do with physique, then kimbo slice would be one of the top heavy weights, but he isnt, he couldnt cut it in the ufc or strike force.
he made him drop his guard, thats the point of a superman punch, you make them drop their guard by dummying a knee, notice how he threw lots of knees before, so the guy didnt expect a punch.
his kicks were a lot faster but he was predictable and I saw where you started to predict his kicks and you got that nice leg kick in and just set up that beauty of a right hand
@NakMuayThai I dont know, experience dont mean much if that person sucked or is weight disadvantaged or is malnourished. For example: Jason Guida, an mma fighter who has a record (experience) of 18 - 26, 44 fights in total, but he still gets his ass kicked by guys with half his experience. Another example would be a 155 pounder vs a 165 pounder, where the 165 pounder has more muscle mass, more power. You can also fatigue faster is not properly nourished as well. But props for the W, a win is W.
@gottawachit still, muay thai is about fighting and traditionally doesn't know weightclasses (fights are rarely balanced and "fair"...). MMA (esp. vale tudo) also used not to divide into weightclasses, in order to give people the opportunitiy to show skill is a better weapon than mass. I agree with you, that weight is a major advantage, but there are other factors. In Muay Thay i've seen loads of similar fights where bigger guys were without a chance because they were slower and less accurate...
wow. even when the skinny thai guy got KTFO. kudos to him for winning the fight before he went to sleep. he looked so skinny. no muscle tone yet i could see he really is fast and hits hard.
I train at TMT as well. Honestly, while it was a decent fight, the superman punch would have been much cooler if he hadn't done it so many times; IMO at least.
Smaller, but much more experienced. "Catch weight" fights are common because of the experience difference between the Thai and Foreign fighters. The Thai was the favorite in this fight until Andy revealed the "S" under hs shirt.
if i were a chef i would say,it was peachy, gentle but elegant packed with ingredience and a complete triumph, this was coooooooooooool, pick pick test test bang good night, warrior
The Thai in this fight was the gamblers favorite and had 60+ fights as compared to Andy's first fight. This goes to show what good training can do for you.

fatcat3211 9 months ago
@fatcat3211 It's called a "Mongkon". It's a traditional headpiece, blessed by buddhist monks. It's supposed to bring the fight luck in the fight.
