I played Maplestory like 6years ago . When everything is old and slow . That was the best timing :) Best game . Now , its kinda ruined . Last time was the funniest part , people slack and level slowly . Chat and PQ . Awesome :)

I remember first playing this back in around 2005. It took me about 1 year to get to level 35 (I was grinding at level 25 in henesys hunting ground xD), but now I can do it in 1-2 days. They've added so much content that its insane. At first there were only 4 classes and a few areas, now there are like 12 with a shitload of areas and its a lot easier. I liked the old, and grindy version because it gave more value to your time. One of my favorite things were that it was very fairly balanced

@TutsModding I'm guessing it's just that. You're in a region where it's not compatible with Maplestory. A friend of mine fixed this by using an AIM proxy. At least, I was sure it was AIM proxy. Hope this helps.

the reason status is default is because people waste hours of there life try to make up a cool name and rolling dice for perfect status...example here: 1 guys roll dice for over hour and when he finally got that perfect status he accidentally click roll again..and he quit before he even played the game.

I loved this game. Wayyyyy back when it was still around v0.6. PQ was like the bomb when you do it with friends. I didn't mind leveling up slowly because it was fun. But right now, its so fucking easy to level up, and we mostly need to buy cash to do well in the game. Then it got fucking screwed up big time with all those patches that I hated. So I quit :(

@mrdejavu96 I have been playing since 2006, and I actually think the latest updates are pretty cool. Although none of my old buddies play anymore it's not that fun, but slow leveling is something I don't miss. I can now play more casually and not have to spend a lrge amount of time trying to level. And now you can level to the high levels doing nothing but grinding (which I don't like for me personally), and there are times where all my quests are done, so it makes it easier to level up.

@mrdejavu96 I do miss the good old days, but leveling up was a major pain in the ass. It would take like a week to get a level grinding at level 60+ region. But I do agree that is crazy easy to level now, I got to around level 30 in a night. I do wish they made it somewhat harder to level, find a balance between the old days and how it is now.

RuneScape forces you to pay and MapleStory doesn't have any original classes. Seriously Cygnus is rip-off from adventurers, Resistance is revamp of three old classes. Aran and Evan are "OK" and "new" classes, but Mercedes, Cannoneer and Demon Hunter are almost the same things as Wild Hunter, Mechanic, and Battle Mage. I like Runescape more but RS and MS are not really comparable. I don't HATE MapleStory, but I also don't LIKE it.

Using skills properly takes skills, and finding good item builds which vary a lot based on team composition also takes skill/experience. LoL is a good game, but it's not comparable to Maplestory because they are different genres.

@andreasxzx well, you shouldn't really compare Maplestory and League of Legends since they different kinds of games, one being an MMO strategy/moba type game, the other being an MMORPG. For League of Legends though, if you want to play with high level people, you need to save ip to buy runes with, so most people pay to buy new characters, which kinda sucks because, at least for me, the community is really bad in LoL.

demonslayers and cannoneers and mercedes bout 2 come out. Maplestory is highly recommended. it might be boring at the first 30-50 levels then when you get used to it, it becomes unstoppable
