The Man, who left the Newborn Child in the Care of the old Man, was the longhaired Guy from Part 1, who screamed at Gouki:

" GOUKI!!! ARE YOU TELLING ME, "THIS" IS THE PATH YOU CHOOSE ? " ; )

The Mother who died after giving Birth to Ryu, was the Girl from Part 1 - pregnant from Gouki.

He, Akuma, " IS " Ryu's Father - unimportant what others claim.

This is why Ryu can use the dark Hadou - like his Father ; )

Way to short, no clear storyline.

I understood most of it, even though I didn't fully get the part with the 'Karma of the Dark-Hadou' talk, but anyways.

My biggest point of criticism is that there were only all the Ryu-clone characters in the movie, and they didn't even explain half of the story but expected most people to already know or get it regardless the fact it remained unsaid.

I think they should have offered a better look at the characters alive, and not the dead ones.

i never seen any streetfighter movie before with this much crap... RYU is suppose to be stronger than that...(easily seen in the first movie) and where the fuck do the ghosts come in? i mean streetfighter never needed ghosts ive known it since i was like 7years old.. too much character development and too much details on the face.. besides the fact that the fights are too simple and awkward looking... old man is ryu dad? O.o

you people are getting things wrong.

akuma is ryu's father and akuma killed goutetsu. he nearly killed gouken but gouken manage to put himself in a "state" like a coma to prevent his death.

akuma and gouken ARE blood brothers and the old man in this video trained goutetsu. just watch the whole film

This movie was great... So much more canon than the first one, which was filled with inacuracies... So, if Gouken returns in SF4 (meaning, Gouki never actually managed to kill him) could this mean that the old man in this movie could actually be Goutetsu?? O_O

Goutestu trains two brothers Gouken and Gouki.

Gouki kills Goutestu then goes to kill Gouken much later (but he is not dead because he returns in SF4)

Ryu is supposedly Gouken's son.. hence Akuma is his uncle..

actually Ryu is supposed to be Gouki's son and although gouki and goken grew and trained together like ryu and ken, they are not blood brothers... the reason goken said to Gouki as he walked away"ur happiness was within ur reach" at the 1st part of the movie was because he realized sayaka was expectin gouki's son...Ryu. But this movie is slightly confusing in a few things I personally enjoy the comics which I read some time ago but cant seem to find now, they have a solid story line

Gouki is Ryus father but if anybody remembers when Gouken asks Siaka if she needs help and everything he finds out shes pregnant which the master is there father so i think Gouki had sex with his sister and that night he came back to kill them she had ryu and then Gouki killed her and Gouken took care of him and trained him and right before he fought Gouki and died himself he asked the old man to keep an eye on him

Ken is faster that Ryu on the games but Ryu is stronger, Ken is faster that Akuma too but Akuma has the best balance power close to Ryu and speed close to Ken.

I thought Akuma is Ryu's father hence the dark hadou blood line?

Yeah your right Akuma AKA Gouki is Ryu's father, but Ryu looks an alot like Gouken, because of his clothes probably, besides everyone should have known Gouki Is Ryu's Father even before this movie, i just wasn't sure if it was Akuma since they gave him two names.

Thats so confusing in the video the old man says a man left me a child, that man was Goken. The childs father was Goki since he just ran off without a care. He looks like Goken a lot but it is Goki the father, i guess since Goku and Goken are bothers it's even more confusing.

no way ken has beaten ryu b4 in the game series plus he was alot harder for me to beat in the games than ryu was but think about it how ken is better ryu has almost no personality always serious always babbling on about being a tru warrior his personality is overall just boring while ken is funny as hell, fast and flashy and just overall just wayy cooler DONT get me wrong tho i do like ryu and he is awesome im just saying ken is better

basically they are equal in power. while ken is focused with his training on speed and style, ryu has focused on raw power and technique.

but ryu posseses the power of the dark hadou so he can turn into a ansatsuken user. ken cant do that

actually, this one's a prequel to the first alpha movie.also akuma aka gouki is supposedly ryu's father and the old man is the guy that ryu was left with as a baby. I think that pretty much covers it.

Your right but when Ryu was born he worked Gouken and then after Gouken died, the old man took care of Ryu.
