I have been selling lasers for about 20 years & I have been very impressed with the 10mW+ variety that have entered the market in the past couple of years ... that said .... the Galaxian series lasers are no exception. Seeing these live will prove my point - they are truly awesome and worth every dime at just $299.99 or less in a package, ask my clients!
@DarthNuno OMG have you never been somewhere with lasers ? These aren't the kind of lasers that will cut or burn things. I don't recommend to stare into a Laser, but didn't anyone ever tell you you shouldn't stare at any light source. "wake up ! their safe"
American DJ's official site and other sites all say 30/80mW red/green lasers, but their official manual say it has a 4.9mW Green Diode /4.9W Red Diode?
So are we going to see a contest to win one of these? I think this one is going to be a must have, especially since it can be used without a variance.
I saw this at DJ Show North in the UK on the ADJ stand. Significantly KAM had the stand next door to them. The ADJ light is a fair bit dimmer than the KAM Star Cluster but this is so it meets the stricter US laser requirements. However, it's also much smaller than the Star Cluster. For the UK market the price point needs to be well below the star cluster but really this is only for the US market.

My biggest seller in the laser department - people see these in action and ask what they are, then call me to get one of their own - sweet!

Anyone know why?
arianhojat 3 years ago 3
From what I hear, the diodes put out the 30/80mW but each beam is 4.9.

Can you point these at the crowd?
And, will people go blind if the beams point in their eyes?
I know a DJ can make an announcement "Please don't look directly at the light beams" and you know some drunk idiot will still attempt it.

Is it bright enough to use the galaxian in ballromm places? Is it cooled by a Fan?

Awesome! I was hoping ADJ would come out with a laser like this so I wouldn't have to import a KAM.

I was kind of hoping ADJ would start producing some lasers like this. Tired of the weak 5 mW lasers. Good going ADJ! I'd love one :)

Available in november?
Your such a tease.

Personally, I don't think it has any where the output of a 50mW laser.... but cool though, how much...?
Btw... how is the diode cooled, and is it or is it not solid state?
djsareawesome 3 years ago
I like it can be used with the UC3 controller, and they can be linked. I just wish the laser output was a little bit more. Still looks very cool.
