  • It was the hammer. After ten years, it wore thin enough to get cocked at an angle. New purple hammer did the trick. Thanks for your help, sir!

  • If the cleaner stops after a few seconds. I would first look at the sole to see if it is worn. Or is the cleaner sucking in air from somewhere? This would also stop the cleaner.

The sole should have a couple of millimetres at least of tread to allow the water to flow through. Or else it is like putting your hand over the end of a vacuum cleaner...

Thanks for your reply. It does suck air/water at the top near the new o-ring. If I pull the top above the water line, you can clearly hear it suck air to the point where the pump starts losing prime a few seconds later. I'm wondering if I put it in wrong. I replaced the Foot Pad at the same time I replaced the o-ring. I'll do a redneck test on it and see if the leak at the top is messing it up...

    Thanks again!

  • Kreepy runs right along clicking happily, then suddenly stops. If you give it a significant nudge, it'll start running again as though nothing happened. It doesn't slow down and then stop, it just suddenly stops clicking and freezes. I pulled the valve out, and it does have a nick on it, but nothing that I would think would cause it to stop like this. I have a new o-ring up top, and replacing it didn't seem to affect it. (Also seems independent of pressure reading). Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • This as a description of how "it works" not how to "repair it."
