@TheCholquito Hey, sorry it tok so long i'm not on much because of college. I have never seen that happen before. What you may want to do is re-install gimp or get the newer version. It might be a program glitch. Otherwise I would have to see for myself what you possibly did in the process that made it do that.

@BaronoftheBrick One thing I have noticed with newer versions of gimp is that some image formats do not like to blur. Try converting all images to JPEG

Alright so i made it alll the way to getting rid of the duplicates. And i went to colors to change the color of the saber...but all its does it change the background leaving the saber white still =[ ....Help Please?

I'm having trouble just opening Gimp, the second toolbox isn't poping up, I've restarted my laptop over and over, I close the program then try it again, how can I open that second tool box?

Alright I had the same problem at first here is what you do:

In your Image window you will see an Option in the menu bar thats says Windows. Click that and go to dockable items. Then select layers. Its not quite the same as what i had up but its all you need

for that when you go to File -> Save As... -> In the dropdown box at the bottom of the windows click it and select JPEG then just select where you want to save and click save.

Hey gimp is photo editing. The program I would use is Adobe after effects because that is cool if you look at my other my first ligtsaber vid i used that program for that with some tips I found on youtube also

Yeah when you use the pen tool to cut out the object or saber just make it thicker or a litle bigger than the object. =] and follow the same steps

thats sick, the reason i think it may look bad is the dim lighting and possibly the background color.
