mcd1014444, if its a semi-brick (meaning that it freezes at the welcome screen), you could just replace the files by accessing the recovery menu. if its a full brick, youll have to reinstall the custom firmware

well if you already have custom firmware you dont need the pandora battery

but if you have official firmware...yes you need the pandora battery to install custom firmware
