i can ski just as fast w/o poles... poles are mostly for balance on mogules and in pow... and i dont c the freedom in having my feet locked onto a board... im a wakeboarder and i love that but snowboarding is just so akward... and yes some skiers are switching because its a trend and thats pretty much it

Yes it is quite easy to find him if hes wearing a beacon, which any logical human would do while doing something like this, he has about 5 minutes of air before he passes out, broken limbs arne't that rare with avalanches, you die from blood loss because a bone cuts an artery, or because you suffocate

when my cousin were out skiing, he met 3 finish guys,,the day after he heard that the 3 guys had being out skiing and been cought by an avlanche . only one surrvived, he was the only one that was fast enough to hide behind a tree .

ummm this avalanche is about 4 times bigger than any of the ones in that clip, that is sick footage from one of my favorite snowboard movies, but this slide is f-in huge, there is no way he should have survived, and the narrator is correct, the slide would have killed him if he hadn't hit that tree perectly. the femur is close enough to the waist that his body wrapped around it like a taco, above the waist is vitals, the head or lower leg wouldn't have worked either obviously. this guy saw hell
